that would've been such a brutal humiliation of kyler getting his ass owned by tiny sam across the hall scarcely bares thinking about, when a girl destroys a boy publicly he loses all credibility, respect and most of his friends nobody would take him seriously ever again, what remaining friends there are keep a distance its truly a lonely and horrific fate for a man, boys have got so much more to lose than girls in fighting, plus society is on the girls side Miguel saved more than just sam in that situation, Kyler's tattered dignity and his ego too. I'm not sure his ego would survive being destroyed by a tiny girl

This scene _never_ gets old. 😄 I also see that, even watching through Season 3, Miguel still gets tossed and knocked around a lot. Yeah, he's real good at shifting his momentum and getting back on balance, but he should probably try to prevent himself from getting rag-dolled as much.

Miguel is easily the best character. His karate storylines are good, but he also has other storylines that helped out (seasons 3 and 5 dealing with inner battles and facing his weaknesses and insecurities).

Neither of them had started training yet. Before Miguel came to the valley, they had both accepted it was their lot in high school to be picked on by bullies. The next episode, they both joined Cobra Kai. Johnny made one too many comments about Eli's lip scar. Eli asked him not to, Johnny told him to "flip the script", leading to him becoming Hawk at the end of the episode. Meanwhile, Demitri made the mistake of talking back to Johnny, and he ... "was made an example of".

It's not meant to do damage it's meant to stun the opponent, if you get hit in the nose with anything you will be stunned and your eyes may even water on their own, it's a reflex of the body. Also your nose has a rather weak structure, you'd be surprised by how easily it can be broken.
