Miguel Poiares Maduro | Why Transnational Governance?

From climate change to migration flows, from security to the digital society, the challenges of the modern world require new forms of governance beyond the state.
Prof. Miguel Poiares Maduro explains the mission of the School of Transnational Governance (STG) of the European University Institute. Founded in 2017, the School sets out to deliver teaching and high-level training in the methods, knowledge, skills and practice of governance beyond the State, bringing the worlds of academia and policy-making together.
The STG offers Executive Training Seminars for experienced professionals and a Policy Leaders Fellowship for early- and mid-career innovators. The School hosts expert Policy Dialogues, and is launching a Master's programme for graduates in Autumn 2020.
