In the original script, Sam was supposed to forgive Miguel. However, Mary Mouser felt like that wasn’t sending a proper message. So she asked if she could change the script to Sam basically pulling a Mustafar on Miguel, and Xolo was on board with the idea. Since you’ve seen Revenge of the Sith, you get the reference.

Standard rules for karate tournaments are 1. First to three points wins. 2. An unblocked strike to the upper body, between the waist and neck, is a point. 3. Any deliberate strikes to the head or groin can be punished with a warning (typically first strike), point reduction or DQ (both at the ref's discretion) 4. Deliberate injuries, or striking an opponent between spars (between a point being given and the ref restarting the fight), can also result in point reduction or DQ, again, at ref's discretion. 5. Season 1 of this show is peak television and the absolute best of what Netflix has the offer. Although the show does fall off slightly over time, the stakes just get higher and the show remains as enjoyable as ever, pls stick with this show man.

The camera thing is actually realistic to me. I work at a place that has cameras and they aren't all being surveyed 24/7 nor is all the footage combed through. Only if there is an issue or suspicion of something, someone will go through the footage. If Robby kept the whole 'robbing LaRusso Auto' debacle to himself, they have no reason to look through the footage

I sympathize with Robby the most. I get that Miguel was bullied, but you can fight back against bullying. You can’t find back against a bad home life. The parents are the ones who have to change. And if your parents aren’t trying to change I can’t possibly imagine how Robby would feel. At least Miguel has a mom who loves him and takes care of him, and a grandmother who does the same as well.

Think of it this way. If the only way I can win a tournament match is by deliberately attacking an opponent’s injury, that’s just says I’m not a good fighter in general. If I’m going to win, I want to be able to say with pride that I beat my opponent at his best and fairly, but using any cheap tactics

The kick that Miguel hit Robbie with in the shoulder. That kick is called a crescent kick the best way to describe it a to throw it like almost like a rainbow arch. Typically we go outside to inside with it and you strike at the opponent's front arm because the leg is stronger than the arm obviously the arm is going to get knocked down and leaves the opponent's face wide open to be struck. But in this scenario Miguel changed it from a crescent kick to an axe kick. He brought it all the way up and slam down with the heel obviously this is a movie and they're not trying to actually hurt each other when we deliver an ax kick you drop it into someone pull it down across their body and tight

I love Cobra Kai. Miguel was bullied by popular rich kids and learns how to fight back, by in their eyes not giving them the chance to make him the victim. Robby isn’t a rixh kid but he is an entire criminal at the beginning and not a nice person. Johnny and Daniel end up coaching/supporting the person they were against in their story. And that’s why when Danny would talk bad about cobra Kai I would get so upset, because all the kids that joined are kids that were being heavily bullied at their school (which his daughter was complicit in) like he was but he couldn’t look past the cobra Kai name and the past and made them seem like villains.

And how Danny’s hatred blinded him, he didn’t like Johnny and his methods but he messed with his livelihood which is crazy. Bullying is never ok in any circumstance and I think this show does a good job of showing how cobra Kai’s mentality can hurt you, especially with Hawk. Like the cobra kai guys are turning into the people they were fighting against. However my original point literally had nothing to do with bullying and just about the dynamic switch and the characters being put in different shoes.

I think he should watch all the Karate Kid movies first before continuing Cobra Kai. He will understand a lot more why Daniel has PTSD when it comes to Cobra Kai, especially after what happened in KK3. Anyway, he should watch it chronologically: KK1,2,3 and The Next Karate Kid. After that, watch Cobra Kai. So many jokes, subtle references, context and ironies will be evident if you watch chronologically. It would enhance the viewing pleasure.

Whether of not the movies are essential to any given season is debatable, but even if not strictly essential, there are references, call backs, and context that you won’t catch without them. I’m not sure what the resistance is to finishing the movie trilogy, but realistically, you are going to need to at some point to fully appreciate Cobra Kai. Characters from those films will appear at some point and it is expected that the audience will recognize them. They are popular movies and should perform well, so why not just do them next?

Say I personally stop going to tournaments because honestly I find them pointless. I train so I can learn to defend myself on the street not to win trophies. So when I did decide to participate I paid $35 add Hathaway from 10 a.m. the 3:30 p.m. for the young adult sparring (17-18). There was only four of us myself my brother and two other kids. My brother lost to the guy he fought who was throwing some very beautiful kicks and I really wanted to fight him but instead pissant instead. They said fight he gave me a jumping back fist to my head where he tapped me not hit that would have been a warning. So they gave him 0-1. I was fine with that I was like okay cool but now I know what his game plan is I see him setting up for that again. They say fight I took a step back he took a step forward I took my right leg broad across my body and blasted him with a sidekick in the rib his whole body jerked but nothing was said I took a step back again just on the line of out of bounds he took a step forward again I hit him again even harder nothing was called he did his little jumpy back fist and they gave him point. So now it's 0-2. I said to the ref mind you 1 of 5 refs I guess I just got the blind refs. But I said "you better start calling these points otherwise your boys going to get hurt." We set up again he's still getting ready to do this same move. So I switched my feet to a left foot back (I'm Lefty) they said fight instead of going backwards he jumped and I slid in to him and blasted him with the left cross to the stomach dead center solar plex this man went from vertical to horizontal in air and hit the ground. No point was called at this point I just giggled shaking my head said well I'm going to make sure I get mine. (My mother who was in the 7th row on the bleachers literally question are they going to give you any points for any hit?) So at this point instead of keep my hands up like a point sparring situation I put my hands up as a street fight situation they said go I use my right hand grab the hold of his forearm securing his arm and I rock them with a left cross across the chin he went down like a sack of potatoes and just like he hit the ground I hear everyone screaming head contact I got disqualified but in my mind I was like okay these guys weren't blind. Well pissant fault that really good kicker and did the same thing he did to me and won. As we were all leaving in the parking lot I saw him putting the trophy in the back of the car he came in and two of the five refs got the same car with him play we're from the same one of the major reasons I don't go to tournaments anymor
