Not only great playing, but outstanding attention to detail on how this song was orchestrated. You sir, are a diamond in the rough. You may never be discovered, but you have what it takes. The most popular musicians are not always the best musicians. You go beyond playing, you LISTEN to the music. ....OUTSTANDING JOB!

I've played this video a few dozen times. Usually I get carried away listening but this time I paid attention from 8:02 on and saw how much thought you put into shooting this video. To be able to do those 3 tracks on bass and then look at the camera on cue for the final notes is really impressive. Bravo Miguel !!!

Great job man. You trurely due him honor. I've been a huge fan of YES since 1971. They changed my life as a musician and as a person. I've seen every tour since 72. The biggest impression the first time here in NYC was Squier. They were all great but he was exceptional. GOD Bless YES!

Hi Miguel. You've blown me away. My buddy had a Rickenbacker in '76. I saw an interview of Chris Squire dated about 2009. I hope he's still ok. I want him to visit me in Melbourne Australia. I'll cook for him and there's a whole bunch of bars and venues where I live. The people here would love him to bits. And you too.

My life was also changed by Mr. Squire. My first Ric was a 4001 bought in '74. (year I graduated HS) You playing is dead on and thanks for the additional bass lines. I always knew there was something much more going on. I don't know if you are aware of a band named "Starcastle", but if not, go to you tube and enter "lady of the Lake", by them. I met Gary (bassist) in the late 80's. Incredible bassist and a dedicated Ric player.!

Miguel, you look like you're having fun on this classic tune. Roundabout turned me on to Yes at the time it came out. The bass was unlike anything I had ever heard before. Clearly, one of the reasons why Yes music is among the most sophisticated in pop music.

My idea was to make a big mix of Fragile basslines in that spot but then to transpose them all to E... didn't work for me, so I stuck with some of The Fish's and decided to make a bit of fun in the end :) Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it.

Your face really shows in this clip what an absolute blast it must be to play this! Chris had a quantum leap in Roundabout in scales, tone, the odd little one and two note hooks and transitions, all the things that would characterize his sound from then on. Miguel, as always a great lesson and example of how it's done!

@miguelbass I don´t miss nothing in this piece of art. Roundabout has everything a song should have. Harmonies, rythm, great performance, great vocals, great instrument solos. Fragile is a great rock album, from the individual solos(principally Mood for a day and The fish) to the great epics (South side, long distance, and Heart of the sunrise). For me is with Close to the edge, the pinnacle in Yes career and one of the most talented lineups in rock history.

@musiclover59 Agree... Chris made the bass sound and shine like nothing else. This album was really what they call a milestone, although in previous albums the bass sound has always been in the front, this one was a step further in terms of arrangement and composition.
