I wouldn't be surprised if Radon (or Bike Discount) will contact you to ask putting this video under Swoop description :) I own Slide trail 8 for over 3600km (almost 2years) - had only to replace DUB BB bearings (could be my fault, could be bad SRAM bearing). Replaced all frame bearings after over 3500km harsh condition riding (mud, rain, snow, bikeparks) - only one had issue, two were in poor condition, rest were good enough. One thing which annoys me a little - is MT5 rear brake. They are powerful brakes, but with loads of use (see above) I had to often do oil change or top up (if in Bikepark) as oil would turn dirty quite quickly if doing alpine riding. I like the bike and brand so much that I just ordered Swoop AL 9. Thanks for making this video and answering about the headset, need to check if 2024 model uses same headset. I was shopping around for about 2 months to see if anyone can come close to components vs price - no one come close enough to warrant a purchase.

I wish BikeDiscount and Radon would use it, but we me referring the paint problem, I guess not haha Haven’t had that MT5 brake problem yet, maybe I need to ride it more to realize it. Thanks for you comment 🤘

@@MiguelSousaMTB you should see the state of my frame... I couldn't tell if it's bad paint or not because I use the bike a lot and I feel it's normal wear and tear. The paint chips you showed, to me is literally nothing.

Thank you for the good and honest review. I just ordered one myself! One question: Does the bike come with any kind of frame protection or have you installed that yourself? Seems pretty important because of the poor paint quality

Hey, thanks! The frame comes as is. No protection whatsoever. I got myself some Invis protections for mine and it works very well.

Great video! Overall, the Swoop is a great bike especially now on sale for 2.299€ only! It´s lot of bike for the bucks! I had the Slide 2022 XL, it was great All-Mountain bike but the XL size was a bit too much (I´m 185cm). No bottle - big minus for Radon. What´s goin´ on? Radon wake up! Some brands are having two of them... Great colour with black logo - can´t be better! Radon should try some colours like yellow, peach, lemon-green... Miguel, big tnx for this video and ypu´re one of the best dudes on KZbin! Cheers from Austria!

Got a trail slide AL. Decent bike. Rides well. Bearings didn't last for me, gone in less then a year. Otherwise reliability is ok after 2 years. Assembly was horrible, but that seems to be the case with most direct to consumer brands. Overall Canyon quality in my opinion, bit lower compared to a YT maybe.

did you service bearings, how they feel after a year, cuz i own canyon spectral:on for less than a year, and bearings eat dirt, and didn’t have any lube inside after 1k km. i was very surprised with this fact after owning cannondale for years.

Haven’t noticed that problem on this one soo far. Made an overall service on the bike and the bearings were fine

did you have problem with chainstay? i got 2021 10.0HD and i got crack on the weld.

The only thing wrong with this bike is the ridiculous seat tube in the size XL frame. Absolutely nuts. This is not an XC bike, Radon. Fix it.

Depends on what you race, for enduro is perfect, also does well in DH tho.
