I think you underestimate SAK. While not as fast as thrupper or heli kick (SAK is frame 10), the move is huge! Bigger than marcina forward smash. This makes it really good at catching jump ins on your shield, and as your recent short showed, it has really good set ups for suicide kills or cheesy on ledge spikes.

Ik this video came out some time ago now and that he's a professional smash player. But as a Mii brawler enjoyer, I'd like to add to his comments about SAK the "worst up B move" I honestly appreciate this move so much because it makes fighting swordies a LOT more easy (it out spaces Marth, lucina and most swords NGL😂). Save shield cross ups are not so save anymore and at ledge it can cover almost all options. And a suicidal spike brings all the season 😂

For HOA, I believe it's honestly solid. As a Brawler main myself, I roll with Helicopter Kick, Mach Punch, Onslaught, and HOA. While the hitbox is trash, there is really good synergy with a more up close Brawler 3:50

Imo, I think SAK is pretty good. I don't land this move often, but when I do, it feels SO satisfying. And it doesn't matter from where you hit it. Doesn't matter if your opponent's going low or high, it's a guaranteed spike. Ofc, I'm pretty sure the % has to be a bit higher if your opponent is high. That's just my opinion, tho

See now Eric, here's the only problem with your move tierlist: you are a world-class pro player. You are uniquely able to string moves together with as near perfection as can be asked of a human being; not saying that there are not others with comparable mii brawler skill, but that your extreme high level skill with the character makes your interpretation of some of the placements of moves to stray from where 90% of mii brawler players would place those same moves: namely you scoff at the 20% free damage that suplex yields and you are able to combo into thrupper with such a consistency that you undervalue soaring axe kick's added range and ability to get a player back to stage/ledge. I do agree with your "controversial opinion" that flashing mach punch feels substantially worse than exploding side kick, obviously shot put is objectively mii brawler's best neutral special and is subjectively mii brawler's second best special move (second only to the godly feint jump), but despite what people try to say about flashing Mach punch, I struggle to find it to be better than exploding side kick and for the same purpose I find onslaught to be better at landing a hit and thusly killing. My level of experience is that I am an elite Smash mii brawler, I feel as though my opinion is representational of good but not exceptional mii brawler Smash bros players, which, I would argue, by player base holds a higher proportion of the mii brawler players. Anyway, massive respect to your hugely impressive mii brawler skill, but in the way that the ruling class may be disconnected from every day people, you as a world-class pro mii brawler are, I would argue, slightly disconnected from the opinion of most mii brawler players just due to your impressively higher skill level. Also, I'm so very glad we do have a world-class mii brawler rep and am even more glad it's you. Keep on brawling brother!

I am by no means a good Mii brawler player let alone a good player in general I know you can use a suplex in the air close to the ground to abuse it's really low Landing lag to make it hard to punish but there are quite a few times where I miss inputted it off stage when I needed to do a reverse feint jump and every time I do that I died a little inside

If you want kills use thrust uppercut and feint jump. It's you tried and true method of outlasting any upsmashers or Steve's or any character that spams side smash attacks that teleport you off stage. Standard and side special you can mix and match. Don't ever use counter throw ever

I agree that suplex isn't that good, but it can be used to grab ledge quickly similar to mario side b or cloud up b, if you drop of ledge and back-air, you can use suplex snap the ledge because after using back air in the air, you can't grab ledge immediately

I main brawler in Elite Smash and Suplex is in my move set. Suplex does solid damage, and after dishing out a lot of pressure in the 1st half of the match, Suplex throws my opponent way off. I also use Exploading Kick and with the opponent being rattled by Suplex, I get exploading kick to work a lot easier. Exploading kick is great to use when you're able to telegraph how the opponent will react. Exploading kick with it's turn around in the air also confuses the heck out of the opponent.

There's no way Head-On Assault is the worst special move for Mii Brawler. It's not good, but you can use it to kamikaze people, and you can combo into the scoop hitbox with stuff like Nair and jablocks. Those two use cases are better than anything Exploding Side Kick can do.

I really enjoyed this. I would be down for a mii swordie version of this too. Hope everything is well with you. GL on your upcoming games! --- I started using Exploding Sidekick and I am having so much fun. The speed you can recover from its use and side-dodge or jab is incredible. It is strange to know Mii Brawler has a move that can make people be afraid of you. The feeling of playing against someone with a counter move or a charged shot is different than this. I have kicked so many people with this now the best part of using it is timing the super armor to beat out the planned comittal or get-up attack. Mii Brawler moves so fast it's terrifying to have a move this strong be put wherever you want. You can even leap off the edge, use it, and recover.

Mostly agree, though hard disagree on HOA, much better option than ESK or even CT. I used to run your moveset, but I didn't really connect with it. Been experimenting, and HOA is by far my favorite downb option. It does a ton of knock back, good damage, tech chase option, situational disadvantage tool, and whiff punish in certain situations. And I don't know if it's true, but I've been able to combo into it out of fast fall nair and upair at lower percents (and the offstage cheese option is nice).

As a Mii Brawler Main, I agree with most of this list. The ONLY thing I disagree with is that HOA has no use, it is meant as a shield break. Course...Does mii brawler need a shield break? Hell no. Mii Brawler can break Shields with two Shotputs, a shotput into a Explosive dropkick with specific timing, and many other ways, and Shield Breaks aren't even that good on Brawler compared to pressuring shield to get a grab, doing down throw and tryin' to get a thrupper confirm off it. Like straight up? HOA is still the worst move, and just is good in very, VERY niche situations on shield if you can hit the first hit off like a nair or somethin' very specific on big fellas.

I want a mod that gives the mii fighters all of their special moves. (Some of their other moves would have to be replaced.) For Mii Brawler, what I came up with is Head On Assault as the Up Special, since it goes up and then down and that's hard to assign to a tilt or aerial. The neutral special is Faint Jump, because Down Special is just the standard Counter slot. Command grabs are only special moves, so Side special is Onslaught. From there, let's put Thrust Uppercut as up air and Soaring Axe Kick as up tilt. We can have forward tilt be Shot Put because I'd like to see you find a better place to put it. Flashing Mach Punch gets converted into a rapid jab with a finisher. Burning Drop Kick can be a reasonable dash attack, so that Helicopter Kick can take up the Forward Aerial slot. Suplex's dash is now regular dashing grab, with the actual suplex being up throw, though you could argue another direction for it. Exploding Side Kick goes forward, but I've used jab and forward tilt already, so although I don't recall this move charging I'll have to make it forward smash due to a lack of options. Would Mii Brawler perform worse with these changes? I don't know, maybe, I'm not a pro.

I think the Suplex vs BDK really comes down to how good you are. I run Suplex because I’m bad and don’t know when to tomohawk. Other than dealing with shields on plat, BDK beats Suplex at everything. But I think most brawler players aren’t good enough to play BDK and get value out of it.

Shotput is overrated bc it's incompatible with the playstyle; picking it just means you will barely use neutral b, if at all, let alone effectively. FJ is overrated bc it's actually redundant and almost never provides a unique benefit with adjustments. Suplex is just bad for Brawler for the reasons provided. HoA is underrated bc it can be awkward to use without experience, but it's still a useful movement option/landing option, the aerial version does a tonne of shield damage, and the spike box works at 0% even if you grab ledge.
