I remember waiting for my Wii U the day I got it. It was one of those dark and cloudy rainy days, my mom was making cookies, we had the fireplace lit. The inside of the home was warm, which contrasted with the windy and wet outside greatly. It felt like Christmas even though it was June. The UPS lady came by, I signed for the package and ran inside as fast as I could. I got the Wii U all set up and I vividly remember this song. I was making my Mii's while eating cookies, waiting for Windwaker to finish downloading. Truly a great memory.

I was a weird kid. After school, I'd sit down and open up mii maker on my Wii u. I'd make miis for hours on end, and I eventually had to start deleting miis, that's how many I had. Wii U could be an awesome console like Wii but they just failed with tablet based controler. In 2010-11 tablets were really popular but when Nintendo in 2012 made Wii U "hype" for them was reaaaaly low because it was just old technology that every one knew and it wasnt anything special for everyone. I remember getting this wii u for Christmas and me and my siblings going wild, we were messing around mii maker trying to make the funniest miis while smash bros Wii u was downloading, truly amazing memories I'm glad to have. Wii u your console might of been bad for others but you gave memories that I'm grateful for. Thank you for this taste of nostalgia.

I recently got my Wii U because through all my life I had the Wii but I was one to doubt getting a Wii U, but when I got this and finally heard the Mii editor theme. This was one hell of a vining surprise, couldn’t stop vibing to this piece of art, honestly. I’m so glad I bought a Wii U. This is such a lovely song!

Don’t even remember the day I got my wii u, was just one of those things that I felt like I always had despite it coming out at the tail end of my time in grade school, and its a bit surreal now that a bit of my childhood has basically been locked away with the passage of time, I was trying not to think of it and move on, but I saw a tweet with this music and all the memories just came rushing back, making miis, messing around online, calling my friends on the video call app it had, all the solo adventures (even played botw on it while waiting for my switch to arrive in the mail), exploring miiverse as my first ever social media platform, dragging my family to the living room to play all sorts of games with me, and all those other things, the Wii U may not have been the best system, but it was the one I had at that crucial point in my formative years when I was just beginning to grow wise to the world around me and learn to truly appreciate things, and for that I am thankful.

When i was little about 7ish i got my wii u, it was first ever console; I cherished it so much. I remember getting up early for before school and just to play pikmin 3, i remember making little mii and stuff too. Nintendo was so much simpler in those times i am 17 now the wii u is getting old and i am too 😔

this feels like walking through a very big frutiger aero styled mall with a slight teal tint in the atmosphere while looking up where instead of elevators and escalators they have these glass platforms that fly throughout the malls open space above the floors with lots of people riding them

Man... what good memories this song brings. When i first got my wii u, it was the last 2 years of its lifespan. I bought the smash splat deluxe version, and i got hooked right away. Smash was smash, i knew i was gonna love it from what i played before, but splatoon was a magical experience. I did NOT expect to like it as much as i did... even if it took me time to even play online. However, before any of that... i made sure to make miis for my entire family... both in advance for smash 4 and just out of tradition. Throughout that time, i just... wow... i fell in love with this song so much, you dont understand... I make sure to play this every time i make a mii on switch, it was that damn impactful. Even though the switch is thriving right now, and isnt going away anytime soon, i will never forget the glorious memories the wii u has given me. Thank you, nintendo.

I need to get something off my chest. I was born in the Wii 3DS Wii U era and I loved the heart and joy Nintendo had making games. They gave us life with Mii’s and made these beautiful songs. They made funny little mii games like Nintendo land, Tomodachi Life, Wii sports, Wii freaking Fit. When the switch came it felt like they sucked the soul out. They made the Mii’s just a bonus feature and the whole console just felt more to compete and less for Nintendo charm. Please bring it back.

I’m pretty sure this was around December in 2015 but most likely 2014. My dad told me a bit before (maybe like a week or two at most) that he had a surprise for me. A couple days or weeks later, I wake up to my parents setting up the Wii U, telling me they are not ready yet. It came with mk8 and Nintendo land. I loved that thing. Xenoblade chronicles x was great. I also remember Minecraft for the Wii U and getting into arguments with online friends, and unfriending and refriending them. Such a great era. Would take this over Xbox one and ps4 any day. Not much innovation, but still a great and memorable console. The switch will probably never have as much nostalgia.

The Wii U was such a great console, the UI, the music, the idea. It didn't deserve that failure. I wish Nintendo and people gave it more love, because I really don't like at all what they did with the switch.

the switch is boring as freak. not even anything to do besides games. the Wii u had tons of things to do if you looked for them 😉 while on the switch theirs nothing. absolute garbage console. its built horrendous. it breaks so often and its boring. seriously who wants a console that's like this... the games are decent but outside of that theirs nothing...absolutely nothing.

The first party games still have the level of charm they did back in the wii era, there's still fragments of the charm that nintendo used to have built into the switch. I might be speaking a bit early on this, but there's rumors the switch 2 will bring back alot of the old style and themes that made the wii u and wii have alot of charm, just monetized and made more "modern" so it wouldn't give up hope and lump nintendos lack of self identity with xbox and PS yet, at least until the switch 2 is offically revealed and we see what it looks like
