Mii Maker music for the Nintendo Switch
The Mii Channel/Mii Maker has always been one of my favorite applications on any nintendo console, making miis of my family on the wii, too many miis to count on my 3ds, and for just a small bit of time making some on the Wii U.
All of them had the perfect theme to go with them, and the experiences they gave me, which made it even more saddening to find that there was no mii maker music for the switch :[
With that disappointment came recent motivation to write a theme that would fit into those memories I made years ago, taking inspiration from past themes to bring here into the present. New memories and experiences to be made

I know two comments are usually kinda lame, but for some unknown reason, this fan-made Mii Maker track for the Switch has been stuck in my head ever since i listened to it for the first time, and it has become as iconic as the Wii U, 3Ds, Tomadachi Life/Collection, Miitopia, and even Wii Mii Maker themes to me. TL;DR, You are doing something very right my friend. I hope you achieve all that you strive to achieve, because in my opinion you more than deserve it.

I really appreciate it! The reason for that is I noticed how the 3ds mii maker theme had a similar atmosphere to the wii's, so I made the switch's like the wii u's! I'm glad you hear it :D

@@ThaddeusSilva 3DS and Wii mii maker themes (especially 3DS) are incredibly similar to Brazilian bossa nova (see "samba de verão" vs. 3ds mii theme) but the Wii U, while still being bossa nova, has a completely different atmosphere. I really do like the Wii U tracks, and this gives a very similar feel!

I remember in October of 2016 when the Switches Mii maker got leaked, I thought there was gonna be music and was kinda sad when there wasn’t. thanks for fixing that hole in my 10 year old heart I didn’t get then.

I subscribed to you! Man… all of your Nintendo Switch UI music is incredible and sounds very close to Nintendo’s UI tunes! If I was an indie developer/was making an app/device/OS, you’d be the first person offer a job! Plus, if I was willing to mod my Switch, literally the first thing I would try to do is add your music. It seems so impossible at this point in the switch's life cycle but i'm very hopeful for the potential inclusion of themes, thats one chance were they might add menu music!

I too hold this sentiment, I've heard that he was one of the main people to push for music on the console menus. Him passing before seeing the switch's development cycle finish is definitely a factor in the lack of music on the switch. At least we know the concept of the switch was one of his last gifts to the world.

Anyone else feelin a little Wii U? Seriously though, I will NEVER forgive Nintendo for not adding music in the Switch. Home screen, eShop, News, Settings, Album, Mii Maker, etc. It just makes this Wii U "succesor" feel bland, lifeless and boring. And that used to be Nintendo's whole thing. It's a shame

Hopefully when Nintendo releases that new system that they're working on they realize the mistakes they did when designing the UI for the Switch. Personally, I like the simplistic UI, but it's just too bland. On the other hand, the Wii U had tons of personality and I loved it's menu. I think a nice middle ground would work here, a simple UI with something here and there to make it stand out.

What did you use for this? Yamaha/Roland? Sounds so official..

This was when I was using all stock sounds, and EZDrummer for the drums, all of the synths in this piece are made from scratch! Using the synths from the Wii U's Mii Maker theme heavily for reference. All of the traditional instruments I used like Upright Bass, Nylon Guitar, Accordion, & even the Vox sound in this theme can be found in Pre Sonus Studio One's sound packs, though I'm not sure which ones. The trick I used for the vox was using the shift feature on Studio One 3's version of the Presence plugin and putting it all the way in the desired direction for that "Wii U" sound. I am starting to use a lot more Roland sounds though!

Wii U is obviously better than switch because nintendo ported all the games from wii u to switch and just made the graphics better and the Wii U mii maker song was MUCH MUCH better

Only that this isn't an official theme and it's one I arranged & composed myself. 😅 I still have a lot to learn so it's a given that the pieces I write are not going to be on par with the official ones that they're based off of. Someday I will get to that level.
