So, using the highly scientific method of holding a ruler to the screen, I have come to the conclusion that these binoculars are ~7.3x magnification. You can probably do a better job since you have the source images, just measure something on the magnified image, and divide it by the measurement of the same thing on the unmagnified one.

If I was to speculate, the magnification is 7.75x or less. The binoculars is marketed “60x60” since the binocular increase the overall perceived size increase of an object by 60x. For example if you were to use those binoculars to look at a 1x1 square, it would appear to be a 7.75x7.75 square from magnification. The total surface area of a 7.75x7.75 square would be 60 and the 1x1 square would be 1.

Some people’s eyes are not the same . The lenses on my glasses are different strengths for example. They make one eye adjustable for the same reason

I had Nikula 8x 20 ( or 10 x 20 ? ) . compact design . It had the same kind of magnification The orange coated lens ( sometimes red or green ) just filter out light . That is why the image looks green Also very dark Get ones that dont have that colouring and what you will see is what you see with your eye. Bright colour

Great review, it seems like binoculars are following the same pattern as everything else from China where specifications are inflated .. 2000w amplifiers in a boombox and so on. It is just funny that something as simple as 7x35 (which is what these probably are) becomes 60x60 .. I think I'll go for the 100x1000 ones :)

With a 60 power you should be able to count the craters on the Moon. This thing is barely a 3 Power if that. The 60 mm view is a laughing riot more like ten. I know you know this but I'm just kinda verifying so people will not waist their money on this shit.

Night vision is too expensive of a tech to incorporate into these budget items. What they usually mean by night vision is that you can use it in the night to view any illuminated object in the distance. They usually use it as selling points which Im also not happy about. Misleading.
