Also, I'm just gonna say this. I had this close friend on Miiverse. His name was Triple D, and I believe his Wii U tag was TheLoyalWolf. Unfortunately, I got banned prior to the shutdown, so I never got to say goodbye to him or ask him what other ways we could keep in touch. I really wonder where he is now. I hope he's alright.

If only people DIDN'T draw peepees, we would have still had this amazing feature. I love seeing this app in a video. This was where I would send stuff to my friends and be like "Guys look what I did!" All friends from my school. It really sucks that people ruined it and Nintendo shut it down. It also sucks that a lot of features in most titles now don't work because of it's removal.

I miss this. My 3DS XL was broken though I used Miiverse before it broke. Man I also created another account because I had to reset my 3DS. Rip. Miiverse (and the other discontinued Nintendo servers.)

bro i almost shed a tear watching this dude. I have so many fond memories with miiverse and the wii u has a whole it was almost like a best friend to me throughout 2013-2017 because back then nobody at my school was interested in nintendo stuff. I've grown out of nintendo back in 2019 when i got a playstation but now im starting to become bored of video games as a whole. If I was given the choice to only play 1 game console for the rest of my life i would have chose the wii u in its prime because it was so special.

@Lewis a nintendo-network fan private server called pretendo is mainly working on the wii u, in december they successfully did a public test with Miiverse, SMM & Splatoon servers and development seems to be going well

One day I was playing SMM on my Wii U like normal when I noticed the miiverse button disappeared, I thought I accidentally disabled it and I asked my sister where it is, and that’s when I knew something was up. So I searched it up and I found out that Miiverse was shut down, I was disappointed and I didn’t play SMM as much afterwards. Gone are the commentary levels **cough cough** A Goomba Story.

There were a few games you were able to play online till about 2 or 3 years ago on ps2. Sony still has psn up on ps3 and Microsoft still has xbox live up for Xbox 360 and nitendo always shuts down their servers on older platforms after they release a new one.
