Mika wrote this song it's was about Freddie Mercury and how he found out he was positive for AIDS. And the last thing he wanted to do was party. Mika is so Amazing but writing something such like what Freddie Mercury went through makes me cry. At the end when the music ended and make face expressions looked like he was gonna cry I looked in his eyes and my soul just torn to pieces. :(

mercury is not the reference to Freddie Mercury, you can read and understand in different ways the song, but it's not a direct reference to Freddie, mercury is one of the slowest planets to orbit, maybe he is making reference todo something fastest as the normal way. The song maybe shows the philosophy adopted by Freddie in a moment of his life, if you're gonna die, so let's party but not the learning about the AIDS.

This man is such an amazing artist, person, human. And this music made me cry. He's so different, and it's so beautiful ! It seems that people are afraid because he's not like everyone else. Or they're idiot if they can't see how beautiful and amazing he is. Am I the only one who think that ?

This music video is totally different from Mika' s usual style, but I have to say that it is superbe, simple and beautiful. The fact that he watches right into the camera for all the time, makes the video more emotional: you watches into his eyes and vice versa, and this is a very intense esperience. The song, then, cannot be described with words, it is nostalgic and sad and beautiful and really emotional, that it makes me cry. Thank you, Mika for this tribute to that god who was Freddie: I can feel that he lives in your words. Finally, I'd like to add that this song allows Mika to use his deep voice. I love listening to him singing in falsetto, but most of all I love listening to him singing with his deep intense voice. It goes right into my heart and it makes me feel good. Mika's voice is simply sublime, with all its diverse degrees. It's like an entity itself. Thank God he started to study music. Thank God he shares with the world his unique talent and his kindness as an artist and as a person.

Lyric :) There's a party going on in here It's been happening for many years You weren't invited and don't want to stay But keep partying anyway DJ's playing the familiar tune Got them dancing, shaking up the room They hear the beat but they don't know the words This is the saddest song I've ever heard If you could look into the future, would ya? if you could see it, would you even want to?

Oui, on va dire ça.

this song is beautiful and the video is so beautiful and simplistic and i love everything about this

+aliceinwonderland Yeah, he doesn't even need to do much in the video in order to evoke emotion in people.... All he had to do was stand, sing, look very sad, make some hand gestures, and sadly walk away at the end, and I was tearing up.... And I'm someone who doesn't tear up to music a lot.

Like..... seriously.... i didnt even know him, since i found out that one of the voice's judges is this handsome and attracting guy. And he is mika, MIKA that i heard his voices, his songs, but never knew his video and face. He is gorgeous, with or without his voice. And suddenly im enjoying his sexiness from this grey-old-fashioned video, the way he enjoys the rythm, that white shirt, that hair, that face... are fabulous!

Weird, this song probably has a different meaning to me than Mika or others. I first heard this on SKAM, where it was the final episode of the entire show, and they all had a party at the end of Ramadan. This literally revolves around that episode and i cry all the time

We absolutely adore this stripped-down version of Mika singing his new song "Last Party"! So moving. We also can't wait to see Mika in the US in May: May 3 in Brooklyn at Verboten; May 4 in NYC at Webster Hall; and May 6 in LA at the Belasco! Tickets are on sale now for all 3 gigs! Hope everyone can get out to see him live!
