I really do not know which one to choose! but this isn't a problem because I don't want to choose :D They are very different from each other... but very similar at the same time. and the passion with which he sings these is always the same!! VEry nice version, it is clear he commercialized it for the final recording, this one sounds like a song from a new musical. He can't deny he was born in the musical scene. He is brilliant! Tha acoustic final version is beautiful and the album version must be a worldwide hit.

the album version is definitely not techno. it's more dance pop, and it's a terrific song. the ballad is pretty too, but don't put the other version down until you've given it a chance. it's really good. and props to Mika for trying a new sound out. it's fun to experiment, and I'm proud he did so. :)

This is what french journalists wrote about the song: "Mika yields to the electro trend with the exhilarating 'Overrated', cut out for the clubs" It doesn't look good, I love this song it's really beautiful. I don't want it to be some dance song...

I totally agree! i don't understand people that are so disappointed by the last album beacause they say "he's changed! he's not the same" ...I think it's good, he's 29 now, it wouldn't be better if he did songs exactly like when he was 23! ;) His personality is exactly the same, and I love his new songs as much as the first ones :)

Agree. I was so utterly, incredibly disappointed when I heard the new version. Completely ruined, no feelings at all, where´s the meaning? I loved this song so much. I never listen to the new version anymore... This demo version is so beautiful and moving, I could listen to it all day, once it almost got me crying...

I don't know what he doing. I agree whit you, but... at first I did not like it, but now... I'm used to it and he changed .. Finally he admitted what it was and who he is (I mean that he is gay). Maybe it helped to change the style to carry. And come on, that our MIKA. Always and foever!

all our fears have been confirmed. there is a preview of the album (check it out on his fb page), and yes, overrated is now a techno dance song that doesn't have the beauty of this original version.
