Last last smile she gave Eren killed me. Just seeing Eren again made her smile, only to remember what she had to do to him. She was really there for him till the end, even when that mean putting him out of his misery

Thank you for defending Mikasa! There are a lot of videos on youtube that just hates her character for being devoted to Eren. It's not obsession, of course she would be overprotective of this suicidal blockhead. Her love hadnt stop her from being a good friend and good soldier. I find her devotion and strength admirable and I think she married and lived her life to the fullest while still visiting Eren occasionally.

Aha, no prob! I’m happy Mikasa is a character you seem to understand, as well! She’s maybe more difficult to understand than others, but that’s what makes her interesting to me. Deep down, she’s a beautiful character
@danck9419 ай бұрын
There are many reasons I could list to way Mikasa is my favorite AOT character, but this post would be the entire size of a novel if I did, so please let me start off by saying this. For me Mikasa represents a pure, powerful kind of love, a type of love that has no conditions, or expectations, a type of love that is born from the very choice to love itself. That type of love can't die, or be taken away. It is for this very reason that she touched my heart in the anime. This is why Mikasa Akerman is such a beautiful character to me. Even is she got married(I hope she was happy regardless) I believe she still loved Eren all the way up to the very end, because her love was real, and therefore it was eternal. I also hope that she finally got what she wanted, and got to meet Eren again and be with him for eternity in the afterlife. I think the author was trying to imply this when he put that slide at the end of her funereal, and she's being buried in her red scarf, and being buried right next to where Eren is buried. Anyway that's just the opinion of this one AOT fan, and EreMika shipper.

Thank you for making this for Mikasa. I feel like she is so misunderstood. But she is and always will be my favorite. A lot of people say that her character development was lackluster but I disagree. I think really toward the end of season 3/beginning of season 4 was when her character grew up and she blossomed into her own woman. By the end of season 4, she was the hero and victor of the story, because she put the lives of others before her selfish desires to be with Eren. Thank you for this video!!!!

A character I was very interested in? A character that hits emotionally? Yes, I've had that feeling before, For you, it was Mikasa For me, it's Reiner Originally it was Eren, But after digging deep and rewatching, it was Reiner I was connected to more than Eren, Reiner has been my favorite character since the beginning while Eren was my favorite only in season 4, We are introduced to Reiner as the badass big brother of the scouts, he was just a strong likeable dude in the beginning, But after the reveal that he was the Armored Titan, i was shocked that a character I really liked was a bad guy, But that's the thing, he's NOT the bad guy but rather the victim, We find out that Reiner has split personality and this is where i really started to get fascinated by Reiner's character, They weren't showcasing Reiner as this one dimensional bad guy, he was....human I already liked Reiner and was very fascinated by how Reiner's character is going to go on but season 4 definately made Reiner one of the most nuanced and compelling anime characters of all time, seeing Reiner's backstory, how he was brainwashed and forced to commit mass murder and no one loved him for who he was made me feel so bad for him, Reiner isn't like Levi or Mikasa who are strong and have iron will, Reiner is just like us, trying to make it out alive every other day, No talents, no skills, no strength, just a struggler By pushing forward and saving the world, Reiner managed to redeem himself, he managed to finally become who he wanted to be since a child....a hero, Reiner Braun is one of my favorite anime characters of all time, Thank you AOT, for a journey filled with shocking plot twists and thrilling action, and for Reiner.
@loganhurley545610 ай бұрын
Reiner is an elite character! Funnily enough, I think Reiner was another character I had an intuition feeling about as well. He’s the most lovable “villain” of all time… because he’s not truly a villain. Just someone that thinks he’s doing what’s right, and understanding where he went wrong and correcting it

Wow, I did not think I would ever be this happy to have a random 100-views-video pop up in my recommended. Obviously my story with this character is a little different, but damn was I able to relate to this. And ultimately it aligns very well. It was also good to see some positive words on Mikasa given that people are, for the very least, split on her and she gets a lot of hate online. So thank you. Watching this genuinely improved my day. Take care

I liked her in season 1 when she smacked Eren around when he was being too Eren, but I have no idea how anyone can claim that for the overwhelming majority of the time they had anything but a severely toxic relationship, just like with any other relationship where the affection is pretty much exclusively one sided and the lovesick person cant take a hint. Throughout the story people were always walking on eggshells around her, particularly on the topic of Eren, and it was literally like she had a disability. They had to treat her like she was "special" making sure she was okay with whatever the plan was with Eren at the time so she doesnt act like a psycho. It somehow got worse and creepier after she decapitated him. In fine with her kissing his decapitated head, it was fucking weird but whatever, I can at least try to pretend that never happened. Yet afterwards she apparently marches thousands of miles with that head in her arms? I guarantee that thing was rotting and grotesque by the time she returned home. Worse still, she never moved on one iota. She was hung up for decades afterwards over someone who killed billions of people for reasons only Ymir knows. It was so tone deaf and it was like the she had no idea how to act like an actual human being anymore.

I like to think that Mikasa knew that Eren also loved her in the end. I believe she did after she remembered their last conversation in the paths. I believe it's what gave her the strength to give up on her dream of being together with Eren. Multiple times throughout the series she would say that "The world was cruel, but it could also be beautiful". Eren was the beauty she saw in the world, and because of this he was everything to her. She was able to give up that dream, kill Eren, and move on with her life while still holding on to her memories, and love for Eren thus allowing her to keep her peace and happiness at the same time. I find the tragic love story between Mikasa, and Eren heartbreaking two people who were meant to be together, but couldn't be due to circumstance. It's the reason that while devastating I found the ending of AOT to be profoundly beautiful. It happens to be why Mikasa Ackerman is also my favorite character in AOT.
