@@eyemakejokes I think she probably has wondered it to herself. But Mikasa always interpreted Eren's habit of running away as a sign that her romantic feelings might be unrequited. And since staying by his side has always been the priority to her, she rather prefered doing it as an official adoptive sister or friend than risking everything with a romantic confession that might end up in rejection. So because of that Mikasa would then repeatedly "family-zone" Eren when pressed on why she worries so much about him. I think the sad irony about all this is that this over-protective older sister attitude is precisely the thing that would push him away, because it hurt his pride and was definitely not the dynamic he wanted to have with her. If Mikasa would have been more honest to him and herself than she would would have been closer to her goal of being by her side.
