I really hope this is the one and Babs really can use his coaching prowess to turn the core team around. I remember we all had the same optimism when Burke came to town and they talked about doing things right, bringing in character etc. Toronto seems to be a place that mgmt and players come to get chewed up. I have fingers crossed - yes we got good young core coming; but look what happened to Calgary!!?? They have Gaudrea, Giordano, Bennet, Monahan, Brodie, Backlund -- they finished so strong last year and went to the playoffs!!!!! What happened?? Same with Colombus, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal!!! All these teams have true stars and at least a solid 2 or 3 core veterans. We have none of those...nor do we have a decent proven goalie.
