my favorite kind of layout, retro dealer display, minimal scenery, clean neat and screams LIONEL TOY TRAINS!! Thanks for sharing.

Glad you liked it. My goal was to get as many trains to run at the same time. I got 5 plus a trolley. The layout has 32 operating accessories plus many operating cars.

My apologies, I just tuned into your channel! I have been fascinated with this Lionel Display Layout ever since I first seen it in the booklet 'Lionel Display Layouts' published by Kalmbach. I have to say, out of all of the iterations I have seen that have been created from that initial design, yours is the best!!! Your track plan is great and allows you to run multiple trains. Your layout is immaculate and clean lines. Outstanding job!!! Although I am a fan of Gargrave's and Ross, I am going to stay with O-Gauge tubular to keep the nostalgic look and sound. I will also extend the length of the table's 'L' to accommodate some of my Dept. 56 and Lemax buildings for Halloween and Christmas. Again, an outstanding job and great video, thank you!

Hello McKinley minor I should read my emails more frequently. Thank you for all your positive comments on my layout. I found the original in the Classic Toy TrIns Magazine. I made a few changes, but this layout lends itself to running multiple trains at one time. I am running the most outer line using Standard Gauge track and rolling stock. My layout is about trains and track (Gargraves) track to be exact. I would like to see your layout when completed. Have fun building. Mike. (Trainman 34)

Nice to see the trains run at this speed, easier to see and enjoy them!

Bud Rindfleisch I agree. The slower speed is nice

I totally agree, perfect nostalgic Lionel layout. Has everything I liked about Lionel trains from the first time I got one forty five years ago.

Yeah... this is really simple, cool, and fun. I REALLY RESPECT the pro and semi pro modelers but the garden variety hobbyist does not have the time or motivation for that so when I see a layout like this I love it!

Love the scale PRR S2. Is it a MTH? Looks like you are using mostly Gargraves or is it Atlas track?
@trainman3403 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, The PRR S2 is a MTH Locomotive. The track is all Gargraves. For most of the curves, I purchased pre formed radius curves. I did have to bend some of the straight track to make things fit. I have recently added a Standard Gage line on the outside and purchased the Blue Comet and 4 passenger cars. I can now run 7 trains at one time. Thanks for watching Mike C

Hi Steve, as Andrew stated, it was in the Feb 2012 issue. I have just recently added 6" around the entire perimeter and added a Standard Gauge track. The standard gauge train is a MTH Blue Comet. As they say, a train layout is never finished. Mike
