They dropped the material and went in another direction? I thought the tapes from C&V were stolen.

Supposedly the masters were taken one day, not necessarily on purpose, possibly by an intern who grabbed a wrong box for some other project, but missing nonetheless. The band concluded they didn't think it was their best anyways, so they didn't make a new set of masters, but in theory still have all the old demo tapes that were made before the final masters. Little by little they've started to see the light, but many if not most all of the songs are still unconfirmed or in limbo. Hope to have them all some day, i think everything we've heard from the album is incredible.
