Growing up in NYC during the cracks yrs situational awareness was crucial. Physical fitness and self defense skills was necessary.. Took my kids out of the city and raising them in a safe neighborhood was the best thing I ever did. The city is becoming as bad or probly worst than the 80's. I feed bad for the Marine who was just trying to do the right thing when most people will avoid helping. The guy should have never been lose running around the city. He should have been in a psy ward. The explanation about incident was well thought. I also learned about being prepared when we had a black out in NYC and all my money was in the bank. I had no cash and had to buy flashlights and water for my boy. I lived on the 17th fl of the Projects and we had no electricity. Had no idea how long the blackout will last. That incident taught me the value of being prepared especially when you have to take care of your family. Thanks for the great interview!

The marine attacked the guy first without even being touched and held the guy in a rear naked choke for almost 20 minutes. It is obvious in the video when the guy passed out from the choke hold. Very poor judgment on the marine and he killed the guy unnecessarily.

As a farmer in the NW part of Saskatchewan I know how to survive in the woods and prairie any time of year. But city confrontation gets me on edge cause when you are the target of a person messed up on drugs you have no idea what to expect and in Canada if you injure or use anything as a weapon against a attacker you are instantly charged and put in jail so it is almost a impossibility to defend yourself. That said as a family man if it happens I will do everything to stop anyone from harming my family regardless of the outcome.

If it's emp and your power is gone for months. You have to protect yourself. The same people making these rules will most definitely protect their lives and family. If you have Jesus as Lord and Savior... he'll keep you safe. He loves you. Best wishes friend.

Canada is REALLY boogered up on self defense! U.S. is that way in some regions but other areas have common sense.

The very notion of taking away our God-given, natural right to defend ourselves and our families is pure insanity. How did we get here? I’m with you. Better judged by 12 than carried by 6. F everything else.

If you carry a tourniquet you should carry a marker. Its best for the doctor to know how long it has been applied, write the time it was applied on the tourniquet on the vctims arm or their forhead if necessary.

I was in NYC 2 years ago. I was walking with my 10 year old son and wife on the greenway by the water. A long story short ended up trying to keep an angry homeless man with a kitchen knife from “I don’t care if your Chinese black or white I will stab you to death!” While I was maneuvering him towards a part of the walkway where there were less families walking the only people saw around all had their phones out recording. My wife took my son out of harms way. The police came and it ended without anyone being hurt. It was a sad state of affairs.

Really good content. I know there are many areas of my life, in relation to preparedness, that need improvement. Like you said, it should be fun, and it shouldn't take over your life and alienate people. Just look at it as personal improvement, and incrementally improve yourself and your surroundings. For me, that is hunting and fishing, which have not been a part of my life since I was a teenager, and I need to get that back.

Mike you hit the nail on the head!. I'm an artist who sells at outdoor festivals and holiday venues. Its FRIGHTENING how rabid our sales tax system is. i had one show in 2021,and it was a charity one for the school. I used Venmo because my square wasnt working right and Venmo would not give my what I made,. I had to fight 18 months for it. The dept of revenue was after me over an unpaid sales tax of just $17. They were threatening me and whats worse is I did pay the tax 3 days late (due to my husbands death) and paid the late fee as posted on dept of revenue website., They went after me 3x over $17. You cant make this stuff up . I retired after that. its hard to run any business under this type of govt harassment. I want to be positive here but theres just no way all these things that the "powers that be, ( aka govt nazis) have done over decades i seriously doubt it can be fixed in a time frame that even matters. Half our countrys' you (18-40) hate their own country. . Theres so muuch bad that its a Biblical spiritual situation just like the Bible says. Im not scared Im ready but its a shame.

Just ran across your channel.. Have to look for your books. So many says they'll head for the woods.. id think that was dangerous. You in open territory, not knowing if your going to find yourself on protected land of someone else's. Plus others that will be out there and have you on a sniper scope.... or night vision, when you think your being stealthy. Jesus is truly our ultimate protector and can't be beat..I believe we need to do what we can though. Point being, when shtf truly, there's no making a mistakes. With that, prayer is utmost important.. cause no man or woman is perfect in all situations. Thanks for chat here. Most are still asleep for sure.

Learn to farm, hunt, and local food gathering. Learn to shoot well and legally. Join a boxing or MMA gym. I’d suggest Thai boxing, kali, silat, and grappling. Get you food storage, iodine tablets, tourniquet, first aid kits. First aid just should be in every car you’re family drives, in the house, and big out bag. Much more but you get the idea. I went as far as having a nurse teach me to perform iv banana bag insertion, cpr, and emergency first aide so that I’m the first responder on scene. I guarantee those 10 mins you wait for emt in best case scenario is too slow when you’re dumping blood from a femoral laceration or head trauma. I will not lose my family waiting on someone else to save me. That’s not true survival. Also get a backup generator and learn homestead skills. Hell I bought a distillery setuo to make sage water or alcohol, well alcohol was a benefit. Good trade and stress reliever. 😂

Was given a little training on self preservation for some yrs. As am almost 100% on my own in Any situation, Have to get it right! My best trainer taught me the out predator the predator move. Avoidance by being a super hi-risk non-victim. Taught me to basically make myself Twice my size. Appear to have eyes on Every side not just aware, but how to look like Im sizing up. (though taught how to make a potential REAL predator breath again when it appears they dodged a problem as miné briefly locked/considered then slid off dismisevely. Confident walk (but know*ng E_actly where and if entering an area, it empties! Clothing? basic, usually black, simple. Military boots. No visable phone. And a car coming up beside? A loud blast of the most hardcore metal and a look that says keep yourself safe and get out of my other lane. Be surprised how just those few things combined keeps me left alone and safe. No posturing. No talk. just a little projection for the times/places where u just need in and Out! No challenge. Just an aura of uhhhh NOPE! and no if others r near! When u r 100%alone. Want to avoid Any confrontation. Be that little lizard w the puff up. The huge fan tail. The red eyes. The predator is out-predatored. You And maybe someone around you just gets to live another day! Its scary, getting scarier. My family has all passed. Ive lost 9 loved ones in just 3 yrs. And alone. Its lonely and it hurts!

Law of diminishing returns isnt discussed enough. Great to have lots of ammo, but if you have so much you are sleeping on boxes of it and its blocking up roon in the house.. theres a point it becomes more hindrance then a help, not that most can afford that much ammo, but other stuff is crucial too, some food, med kits, etc
