@jasonbritt24979 сағат бұрын
They want to stack one side of the bracket with Big10 and the other SEC so that the upper tier Big10 doesn’t have to face SEC until they get to the Natty. Meanwhile the SEC will eliminate themselves when the 2 actual best teams would have come from that conference. They are just trying to ensure the Big10 has a seat in the national championship to make them look like they are just as good as the SEC. The outlier here is TX and I feel like TX not only paid for their schedule this season but they are also paying for their ranking at 3 and payed their way in last season.

Why do you guys keep trying to cannibalize Texas? You have a shit ton of other programs to go after, but its always Texas. What I keep hearing is that Alabama or Georgia might have more losses that, say, BYU, but they play in the SEC where every team is better than a BYU.... Sound familiar? Then Texas plays the exact same schedule as Tennessee, the only deviation is Texas travels to A&M, where Alabama played at Tennessee. The Texas schedule isn't "The easiest schedule since Tulane was in the SEC", like Finebaum reported Georgia as having said. It has been an all out smear against Texas. Texas is beating the SEC teams they by an average of 14 points. Is that impressive? It seems to be when Georgia or Ole Miss wants to jump Texas. The double standard is obvious. One last point. If you calculate the over win% of the opponents each SEC team will face this season. Ole Miss is the lowest at 53%, meaning they will face teams that are around .500... Texas and Tennessee face identical win% at 54%. A&M and Missouri, 56% ..... Georgia, 60% .... Georgia also beat the SEC team they faced by 9 points in average. The margin of victory was a metric point used to rank teams until 2008ish. It was removed to encourage sportsmanship, however it took away a teams ability to be recognized as being quality even when their competition isn't in the top 25. I say that the SEC needs to make up their mind. Is it the number of top 20 victories, which is what they slam Texas for, or is the level of competition? If Georgia can benefit by saying the SEC teams are just way better and that fact should be considered when ranking teams, then Texas should benefit from that too.

@@ruelpile Shouldn't we also consider Georgia's performance against common opponents with Texas. Sure, they beat Texas, then they went on to lose another game and came EXTREMELY close to losing two others. Texas plays three of the same opponents Georgia faced, two they've already played and Texas plays Kentucky this week. If Texas can beat Kentucky by more than one point, they will have beaten every common opponent by much wider margins than Georgia. Georgia beating Texas was aided by Ewers obviously experiencing mental and physical struggles. But over the course of the season, where the two can be measured against one another, Texas has outperformed Georgia. Georgia's good wins against Texas and Tennessee are tarnished a bit by barely beating Kentucky, Florida and MS State. Texas doubled the margin of victory against MS State and tripled the margin against Florida. Think about this, had Georgia lost to Texas, nearly lost to Florida and then they get beat soundly by Ole Miss, how do we view this team? Georgia is relying completely on that Texas win. The win against Tennessee wouldn't be nearly enough to save Georgia. Had Kentucky closed out Georgia then they'd be viewed very differently today. So, let's not act like Georgia can't be questioned. Lastly, Georgia played the most ranked teams, but they didn't face the hardest schedules. The combined win% of Georgia's opponents is 60%. MS State, Kentucky, and Oklahoma faced teams with an average win% of greater than 70%. Ole Miss faced the weakest at 53%. Texas and Tennessee at 54% and Texas A&M and Missouri at 56%. Let's acknowledge the teams that really had it tough this year.

It's so simple, yet we make it so difficult by using BIG words out of Webster's dictionary and allowing all these platforms to weigh in on who, what, when, where, and how college football should be, especially the playoffs. All you have to do is open the dictionary and find the word "GREED", and every member of the CFP committee picture will be stamped by the word. All you have to do is follow the money. Anything that goes on "behind closed doors" is not legit, it's "secretive", it's "we have the power, the say so and no one can do anything about it. Oh wait, the TV networks are standing in the corners of the room too clearing their throats when the "common sense" of who, what, where, how, and why starts speaking and is quickly shut down. Bottom line is they, the CFP committee, have been instructed to fanagle the list to sway towards more of the Big 10 because the SEC has dominated all these years and IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE. Michigan got it started last year and why? What was in the news, what had everyone's attention? - (THE CHEATING). YOU WERE GLUED TO YOUR TV DURING THE NC GAME WATCHING TO SEE IF MICHIGAN CHEATED!!!! So, if you keep controversy going that's what will draw more viewers. Best way to sum it up - as a kid you thought wrestling was real!!!! And now you learn the physicality part is real, they train, they sweat, they get injured------BUT THE OUTCOME IS SCRIPTED SO AS TO KEEP THE AUDIENCE ENGAGED, INTRIGUED, TALKING, FIRED UP!!! WHAT WILL PUT PEOPLE IN THE SEATS, AND LASTLY---------HOW MUCH $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ CAN I (ESPN - THE MOTHERSHIP) GET SO I CAN HAVE ALL THE POWER!!!!!!!!!!! AND IT'S OCCURRING RIGHT IN FRONT OF US BY HOW THEY HAVE RANKED TEAMS IN THE CFP - THE EVIDENCE IS RIGHT THERE!!!!!!! SMH!!!! AGAIN, SO SIMPLE.....LIKE A KID GETTING CAUGHT WITH HIS HAND IN THE COOKIE JAR, THEN TRYING TO EXPLAIN AS TO WHY AND THE KID STARTS TELLING HIS SIDE AND HAS ALL THESE REASONS - SOUND FAMILIAR? CFP COMMITTEE MEMBERS TRYING TO EXPLAIN THE RANKINGS BASED OFF OF STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE, OH WAIT, STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE IS NOT WEIGHTED, OH WAIT, THIS WEEK IT IS, OH WAIT, NOW IT'S NOT!!!!! WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED TO SEE????? BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF $$$$$$$$$$$$ AND YES, WE WILL CONTINUE PACKING THE STADIUMS ON SATURDAYS!!!!!!!! ALL IS GOOD :)
