Good vibes. We can learn a lot from those who lived in this era.

5 minutes 24 seconds, in this song, oh, and his voice and those girls, WTF, thats what changed my life, THIS IS A SEMINAL TRACK FOR THE 1970s, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR A BLACK DUDE LIVING IN A WHITE COUNTRY, YOU DIG.

John Legend and the Roots version pointed me to this song! But this song is like butter. Ooooooohhhhhh. A song for right now. Not a nation on the planet not struggling with some difficulty.

I understand being loyal, but considering this was released years before I was born, the John Legend/Roots version (which is very well done in my opinion) is what turned me on to this song and album. Which from what I read, was the main purpose for covering it. You have to respect them for bringing this back around and showing it's relevance so many years after it's creation.

I was shocked that the Roots just did a simple cover of it?
@johndough2473 жыл бұрын
"Simple" lol...because the original was THAT good and the original isn't well known by most...this groove is too funky to mess with. Most covers fall flat because they mess too much with what made the song good to begin with.

John Legend and The Roots didn't do this masterpiece any justice...
