Love Mike Judge. I've heard him tell most of these stories on Letterman over the years, but I absolutely don't mind hearing them again. Mike seemed to get as big a kick out of Dana and Spade imitating Lorne, as they do when he does Hank Hill or Beavis.

I love this! As an outcast "intellectual nerd" who graduated from HS in 1986 I needed someone to look down on and make fun of the last couple of years of HS, so I would see the "head banger burnouts" and for some reason one day I decided to yell "Rock and Roll! Motley Crue dude!" and slam my forehead with "devil horns" hand sign to mock them but they did not get the sarcasm and were like "Dude, you like the Crue? That's awesome!" and were sort of accepting to me and tried to talk Metal with me so I felt bad and actually did start listening to some metal stuff and found some I liked that I could talk about. Meanwhile my nerdy freinds started mocking them as I had started to so the nerds and the headbanger became friendly if not really friends.

Here is my story: 1999 and I’m working at a branch of Sierra On-Line the gaming company in Renton,WA. The company lays of just about everyone. They are sorry and give us movie tickets (?). In the same area is a theater so 4-5 of us go and watch Office Space. We knew nothing about it. Then we are watching other cubical workers that look like ours with a boss like ours and then the building is burned down and we looked at each other, smiling. The perfect recently fired audience for this movie! (No, we did not burn the office down)

After college during the filming of Idiocracy, there were fliers in diners and random places posted all over Austin. I remember they had an open casting call for tall Hispanic/Mexican men. At the time, I was so focused on my work (I was a political grassroots organizer). That I read the flier thought about it for 2 seconds and threw it away. That’s one of my flaws I tend to have tunnel vision. When I’m working on attaining a goal. But I’m learning to be fluid like water (Bruce Lee quote). When the movie came out, I liked it but didn’t fall in love with it. Some of the characters were too extreme in their Idiocracies…I had no idea what this country would become after years of Fox news and the Trump propaganda machine. Now in 2023, idiocracy is such a genius movie. People keep getting dumber, they wear Crocs now like they’re actual shoes. So that’s one of my life regrets not answering a casting call for Idiocracy. Dax Shepard was super annoying (again, I liked the movie but didn’t love it)….but now in 2023. Or all clicks or all makes sense….Mike Judge is a genius. (Who knows, maybe if I had answered the casting call. I wouldn’t of gotten cast. But I’m pretty tell for a Mexican/Hispanic guy…5’11. That being said. Be open minded you never know what kind of doors life will open for you.

Office Space's marketing sucked. I went to the theaters almost weekly in the late 90s. It could have done much better at the BO if it had a decent trailer, a better poster and a more exposure.

Dana, if you still think it's hard to find a great movie, then check out international ones. I've been hooked on movies from Korea, Poland, Turkey, etc. They are soooo good! Like, "Battleship Island" rocked my world. It's a Korean film about Japanese occupation of their country and just the horror of how the Korean people were treated by their captors before WWII and the Korean War. But you don't see much about it, of course, with American films. Truly some fantastic stories still out there.

I was wondering how the hell a talk show with Dana Carvey and David Spade has so few views... Then I see this channel is brand spankin new! I think once the word gets out this channel is going to explode. I will say though... there's a lot of talking over one another. It's easy to get excited and want to add something, but it got distracting at parts.

Late 2024 and still only 41k 'views'. Gotta be because, there's nothing to view. Mike Judge loses a lot when we're reduced to just listening instead of watching him. He cracks me up watching his thought processes.

The funniest scene I ever saw: the "Silicon Valley" episode where they're at 'Tech-Disrupt' and everyone is sure they'll lose; one character makes an offhand comment, "the only way we could win is if we gave hand jobs to all 800 guys in the audience"...and the rest of them, being engineers at heart, proceed to go into great detail with equations, formulas & graphs on the whiteboard, to figure out exactly HOW you could give 800 hand jobs in the shortest amount of time.
