I work for a bank in the foreclosure division. Believe me, I deal with people just like this guy on a daily basis. I act just like the lawyer in this video. Calm and soft spoken while they're shouting, blaming God, the administration, their employer, their significant other and even me a total stranger. Everything and everyone is responsible for their situation except themselves. There's no point arguing with people like that. They're just trying to pull everyone they come into contact with into their misery.

I work in a hospital and one day i had a patient who was just angry at everyone for literally anything he could think up. The morning i go in to introduce myself and grab a set of vitals from him. I enter his room and say "good morning". He cuts me off and sternly says "goid afternoon!" I look at my watch and say to him its 7:30 am and he responds with "it's afternoon to me." My dad is a civil defense lawyer, mostly just contract law…a lot of big construction companies and insurance companies. Their investigators have some hella stories. In college (it was liberal arts) I took the business law 101. Prof goes around the room asking majors and I respond art and he says “Wait wtf are you doing here?” I said well this is the basis of what my dad does and I’m curious. Seems handy. So he sat me on the first row meaning I probably have never worked harder to study. Honest to god most useful class I took. Basic contract law is good for ANYONE to know. He never let me clerk in the summers because “we only take the best, top of the class at excellent law schools or undergrad majors that are going places.” Side eye, but I deserved it. Then when I said I maybe wanted to go to law school he said I didn’t have the dedication, so he wasn’t paying. Again, he was right. He got scholarships to cover undergrad and to get to UVA. Then spoiled us so we were lazy compared to him. But I had a slumlord for a landlord in college and the only thing that got the sewage backup into my tub fixed was his fear of my dad’s law knowledge. He probably got a million letters on firm letterhead and suddenly I get the repairs. So once I took the class I could storm up to his truck and do it myself. Highly recommend. If you know the basics, just the basics, you have what it takes to chase off people like that. And you don’t have to pay the retainer.

I’ve sat through a 5 hour deposition before and yes, they suck. My attorney and I went over everything in detail beforehand so I just made a game out of it. Keep your answers short and don’t elaborate. The opposing attorney tried to get under my skin by being condescending, etc. but I just sat there, leg crossed leaning back drinking my coffee. That attorney ended up so frustrated that even when reading a copy of the deposition (I paid for a copy) you can see it in Q&A on paper. Again, they absolutely suck having to sit through but you have to. Have a good attorney next to you, follow his/her instructions and you’ll be fine. Another great video Bruce. 👍 Edit; Don’t lose your cool. Being an asshole will NOT help you in the end. I found that the calmer I was the opposing attorney got more frustrated.

It only makes sense that when you're somewhere you really don't want to be, giving very short, very prompt answers gets you out faster. It doesn't seem like threatening the judge and the lawyer is the way to go. 🤔

You can’t help but love the guy. He’s not taking anything from anyone. Dude gives no F’s and is having a ball. Nobody in their right mind would do this in a deposition, but it’s very entertaining. I was floored when Bruce said it makes his pillow a little less lumpy. We have an award winning performance from Mike and Bruce/Michael (content genius). Just sitting here imagining that Bruce’s grandmother would probably be pretty lively in a deposition as well. 😂

I live with a chronic headache. On any given region of my skull, my headache can turn into a violent migraine. Light, sound, movement, standing, speaking, eating, drinking.. can increase the pain and bring on bouts of upchucking... leading to dehydration. I can find comfort in lying down, half sitting up, with my head against a very soft pillow. VERY Soft, because even the touch of a pillow can cause more pain on the temples, the side of my face, my mastoid, even my very skin. Despite his maga insanity, desperation led me to buy his STUPID pillow. And, Yes! It IS Very Lumpy!! Cubes of kitchen sponges, only 1/2 filling a bag of a pillow case... and Overpriced, to boot! Sponge Bob Square Pants is a Better Pillow!!🙃

This reminds me of when I was a videographer for a court reporting company, and my first day there, I was being trained at a deposition we had been hired to cover. I think the case was over some bank foreclosures or something. They let me do the set up, attach mics, and case introductions; the court reporter swore in the defendant, and all that. The lawyer hadn’t even gotten out the first question, and the defendant just went on this long cursing tirade, using the attorneys first name, then walked out. I had to awkwardly chase him down to get the mic back :P Poor guy was clearly at the end of his rope… his husband died, his business burned down (for twilight dorks, it’s the place those dummies had prom… my town doesn’t like twilight), and now with this case he lost his home and all his money cause of medical bills… I kinda don’t blame the guy. Still, it was a weird way to start a job.
