@@doubleburgerwitcheese7602 you should be in phenomenal shape in your older years
@billj4525 Жыл бұрын
@@TheBulletzgottishow20 That's true, but being in great shape doesn't mean tons of muscle, especially when older. There's a reason you don't see old guys very often who are big, either muscular or fat, as it's not healthy for the human body to carry a lot of weight as you get older. Being in great shape has more to do with your strength and cardio system. It has to do with performance, but very little to do with size, but in all fairness I feel like they're doing okay. I don't think they have overdone it too much with muscle for their age. They're still okay, but it can get risky soon, so I understand that last guys comment. I agree that being in shape in your older yeas is an important thing. Mike needs to understand how important cardio is as he ages, as that is what's going to help with longevity for the most part.

I have had young guys tell me to back off on HITT because I'm 54 like trying to ruin my workout! I have excellent recovery and add the extra time needed and that's when you grow! Aiming to be in the best shape of my life at 55 without aging!

The last thing you need is a bar sliding with heavy weight on it. No additional benefits to doing this... And it's dangerous.

Remember, Mike said there's no point in doing flat bench press. We don't need to work the middle chest
@mikebrown7143 Жыл бұрын
Remember he's doing close grip to focus on the triceps as his starting compound movement.
@bboyStuntZ Жыл бұрын
@@mikebrown7143 it's still flat bench, it still works the middle chest, and he's going from wide to close grip.
@mikebrown7143 Жыл бұрын
@@bboyStuntZ there is no middle chest. Pectorals are separated by upper and lower. Compound means it hits more than one muscle group. But there is a moderate isolation when u have a close grip. The bar path is also slightly different. It's essentially a heavier extension that puts a far greater load on the triceps only because it's supplemented by the front delts and chest to a degree. You wouldn't discard a shoulder press because you use triceps or a bent over row because of a moderate hamstring activitation

The kid with the least muscle is stronger than both of them these days. At least on certain exercises he is. He has such a natty looking physique in terms of muscle mass, and I would not be shocked to hear he's natty at all, but very few people would believe it. He has muscle for sure, but definitely not what you would expect for how strong he is. Most people have bad genetics and are clueless to what's possible. Now Mike is great and all that, but I think we know if Mike is natty or not, but I don't want to disrespect him by talking about it. The kid is really impressive though. He makes a lot of progress, and he really knows what he's doing. I love seeing young naturals in their 20's working like this.
