great song, we always applaud the performer, but who wrote the music, who wrote the lyrics? That's real talent too. And like all great art these lyrics can have different meanings. "You can't stay " because I'm kicking you out, or because you have obligations and "You must be on your way tonight ". You're the "man in the rain " means " You're gonna be the lonely one " (Cher--"Believe ") or despite hardship you'll go on?
