A beautiful album that weaves Tubular Bells themes eternally to the universe. You might think that’s an overrated statement but I think Mike got the equation right on this one and this is música universalis. A must listen

Absolutely beautiful Mike... From the bottom Of my Heart I have been blessed to hear your wonderful music Since 1974 until now 2018... Thank you very deeply Mike Oldfield!🔈🔉🔊🔔🎼🎵🎹🎸🎧🎻🎺

Well said I first heard his music in the late 70s when the space movie was shown on tv. I recorded the music with a microphone close to the TV speaker connected to my tape recorder. I've been a fan of his ever since

A very underated piece of music. Sounds like a quality film score such as Last Of The Mohicans and the crescendo of the whole piece is just magnificent and gives me goosebumps !

Oldfield for ever.

A couple of years ago, I went into a well known UK music shop and asked if they had any Mike Oldfield concerts on Blue ray, the sales droid looked at me and said "Who's Mike Oldfield, I've never heard of him", and this is a lad who works in the best known music store in the UK.

"Music from the Spheres" is a very underrated album. Mike Oldfield has done so many so it's hard to rank them and such but if you missed this one I suggest you give it some proper time!

I’ve followed Mike since the very beginning, 1973 and naturally have all of his albums. Putting my love and loyalty for Tubular Bells aside I have to say that Music of the Spheres is my favourite.

Of all the music by Mike Oldfield that I have heard this is one I WANT to hear in its entirety. From what I have heard it is truly beautiful. I have to buy this :) As for Hayley Westenra... Her voice sends shivers down my spine. Mike always finds the perfect voice for his music.

I don't think it got very good reviews, as a whole.. But I do like this album a lot, even though Mike couldn't help starting the album with a kind of variations on the main first theùmem from Tubular Bells...

I love how the female singer never removes her sight from Mike
@IfUfindthisURlost3 ай бұрын
Yes, and she only has 2 small parts in the 45 minute piece. Which fit in great, but did she have to sit there the entire time, until her go? Maybe they wanted to play through the entire piece without breaks, so her coming on and off would affect that.

@IfUfindthisURlost3 ай бұрын
Note: If you are reading the KZbin translation, it mistakes 'Mike' for 'mic' - therefore instead of saying "It is interesting to see Mike in the middle of the orchestra" it says "It is interesting to see a microphone in the middle of the orchestra."

1:50 I wonder if Karl has heard Orchestral Tubular Bells? - not as innovative as he assumes.
