Mike Patton Angel Dust Sessions Interview (Part 4)

MTV popped by to record enough footage to shake a stick at of the band recording their fourth studio album, Angel Dust. The footage of the band recording and dicking about was interspersed with some interviews with band members. Seeing as the Jim Martin interview is available here: • Faith No More - Angel ... and I cannot find this one, I decided to upload the one of Mike Patton who goes on for nearly an hour and a half! See him eat sandwiches, talk about Right Said Fred, obsessive fans, the oddities in the area where he lives and Angel Dust (obviously) among other things.
Watch out for a cameo from Roddy too!

You can tell he really hates Jim, or at least doesn't like the influence Jim had on the band.

Jim didnt like being in the band. Im sure he was toxic at this point, he hated the direction of this album. He called it “fag rock.”

@@ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑΑΝΝΑΓΙΑΝΝΟΠΟΥΛΟΥ Yes he was always trolling at the time but there was no trolling in this particular respect, he had genuine distain for Jim at the time, Jim wanted to make The Real Thing Part 2 and I don't blame him, so would I, but Mike hates repetition and I think he was frustrated with Jim being unwilling to experiment and wanting to stick with the style he likes, again, nothing wrong with that, but the artistic clash would have led to a 'getting along as people' clash which would eventually lead to him getting fired, the 'domino effect' if you will It's not in this clip but in the same interview he says "I don't even know what they're doing in there" He was saying, to the press of all people, that he didn't like the album they were making, that would have really pissed Mike off

staying up 3-4 days in a row is really hard to do and is a sign of bipolar disorder in some cases. it can definitely lead to some mental problems if you do it a lot

Can't speak for his teeth but my take on Mike has always been that he's quite up there on the autistic spectrum with a bit of ADHD thrown in, the latter seems to have dulled in his older yrs. Notice how he doesn't keep focus with eye contact and has an extremely scattered thought process one minute but is highly fixated on certain specific things the next. Definitely no drugs needed with his mind as sometimes people annoyingly insinuate(not that you did)

Oh and as an aside he had/has a massive addiction to caffeine/stimulant drinks that can alleviate and aid concentration in ADHD, having a calming effect. All of this makes sense to me but it's just a theory from watching him for 30+ yrs and knowing the signs as well as the poor communication he speaks about at this age. I think he's definitely aged out of some symptoms.
