3.5 million Semi Trucks in America! Each ranging from 409 to 600 horses! A reverse Dyno can easily turn any Semi or even car into a generator! A Dyno is used to measure horse power, torque, etc in sports cars! You pull your car into wheels so the tires just spin! That spinning could save Food supplies in emergency situations! Thinking outside the box!

And keep it going there's an army of us out here. Everyday most people don't even know who we are or want to see us do our job. It's still very rewarding fixing a problem or failed part, stare at it for about 30mins to make sure it works or you didn't forget something then go to the next one.

The main concern for more power demand beyond power plant potential is the very old energy grid which is also nowhere near enough to transmit enough power to cover a nation full of electric car demand. We are several decades from that potential grid to be repaired and heavilly augmented sucessfully. As for real power plant potential, we have to get serious about nuclear plants for sustainable energy to even think of getting off fossil fuels.

Shouldn't you replace all the brake pads???
@thespicemelange.1
@thespicemelange.1 2 жыл бұрын
Not really because of the way that the wheel droops, you have to keep the shape constantly the same all the way around, otherwise changing the braking distance might cause deflection and break the wheel and then they'd have to replace the whole entire unit. That's what happens when you have really big things rotating, it's not like your wheels in a car, the physics are a lot different.
@andyharman3022
@andyharman3022 2 жыл бұрын
No. The hydraulic brake actuators have their height set independent of the others so that all pads will push equally on the rotor.

1hp is 750 watts, how much generation is needed for one electric car?
@andyharman3022
@andyharman3022 2 жыл бұрын
Fast chargers require up to 350,000 Watts. Multiply that by 100,000,000, which is about 1/3 the number of cars in the USA, and my own guess about the number of cars that would need to be charged at any given time. Pretty big number. Care to hazard a guess about what happens to the price of electricity when all the new generators, transformer stations, and power lines have to be built, and old installations maintained?

Miss all of mike rowes shows. He was the best and most viewed show back in the good old days. Now the real part of this is. What’s going to happen when everything goes electric and even more load is put on the power grid. Come on people. Electric cars are grate and all but it produces more greenhouse gasses to make them plus the batteries can not be recycled. I repeat can not be recycled. Once there done they get thrown in with nuclear waste. Unlike old lead batteries that can be recycled and reused. Wake up people. Quit being brain washed by Washington. It’s all lies. As a ex government official I’ve seen it to many times. Nicad and lithium batteries have been used for years in the military. Thus way we know it can not be recycled. It’s nuclear waste after 8-10years. It’s been proven. Look it up.
