“Those teeth have been the source of more material for me!”, so funny! I’m a general dentist in KS, I always tell our patients with dentures to NEVER place your dentures in a napkin, so easy to accidentally throw away. My own father obviously wasn’t listening to my advice, threw it away and several visits later he had his new denture, with the caveat that Mom think of them as her own, thank you for the laugh. God bless you all

My 7 times great grandfather was a Hessian soldier who defected and fought for the Americans. He made a good decision I think! Your mom and dad are so delightful. Love your channel.

The first of my ancestors here in America did the same. The land he farmed after the war is named after him. Swindler Hollow.

That timeframe doesn't add up. 7x grandfather, if they lasted 50 years each , that'd be like 300 years ago.

Same here except Septimus didn’t become a soldier for the Americans as far as we know. He even stole a horse with another soldier in order to get away according to records.

The whole "famn damily" are comedians! Bhuwahahhahaha. I CAN'T! She calls Dad. Here's Mike: "No no no! Don't do that!" I almost did a spit-take! LOL. They broke Mike with the whole white wig thing! Then, Dad clownin' in the background -- mocking somebody! LOL! Then it took me out when she said, "Dad can't sing." Mike: "Oh. I know!" Growing up in that family had to mean everybody's got rock-hard abs from laughing for decades! Just delightful! I live for these episodes! And, CHUCK! I canNOT! His reactions slay me! Coming from someone that had to get dentures at a very young age (31 years old) due to health issues/post surgical complications-I can confirm that dentures can be both humorous and heart stopping story material…even a combination of both once the panic wears off! My mom warned me OVER AND OVER again when I was in the process of getting mine (and COUNTLESS times after, because…Moms 🤷🏻♀️😂) to NEVER EVER leave them out where the dog could get them. Apparently she’d known more than one person that happened to leave them out where their dog could get to them. For the most part-I was very careful to heed her warning, but then one night-I apparently took them out in my sleep (I take mine out to thoroughly clean them daily but sleep in them overnight because my jaw gets tired/sore if I don’t). Well I woke up the next morning and they were gone…absolutely nowhere to be found. I went full on panic mode…I was tossing blankets and pillows and trash cans, all the while looking back at my beautiful black lab thinking “OMG, PLEEEEEASE tell me you didn’t eat them, OMG-you totally had to have eaten them!!!!” I finally forced myself to take a deep breath and calmly (as calmly as humanly possible in that moment) to gently shake all things out that were around me and THANK GOD I found them!! Mind you…this was in the earlier days of COVID when EVERYTHING was shut down, emergency services only for life threatening conditions. Also mind you…I was considered an “essential worker” and we never shut down. The sheer terror I felt at the thought of my 36-ish year old self having to go to work mostly toothless (I’ve got 3 left on the bottom…picture an upside down walrus 😂😂) and answer the phone with a lisp nobody would have been able to understand, was horrifying!!!! So yeah…there is one of my most memorable denture stories. There’s another, honestly way more funny than heart stopping like this one was in the moment, but I’m not quite ready to share that one with the general public just yet 😂😂

My father lost a dental crown while eating with my mother at an Italian restaurant...this happened probably 20 years ago, and my parents would have been in their late 60s...they seldom indulged in restaurant food, but as it was a special evening, and rather than make a big deal of the loss of the crown, my dad just took the crown and wrapped it in a napkin, placing it on the table. As the evening went on, he forgot about the tooth, and the two left the restaurant. In the middle of the night, Dad awoke and was unable to fall back asleep, having remembered the tooth in the napkin. Early the next morning, he told my mother that he was going down to the restaurant to try to find the tooth. My mother called the restaurant and spoke to a cleaner, who said that all the trash had been put in the dumpster last night, and that they had not found the tooth. She said that there had been a large party for a local soccer team, and that the tooth had most certainly been put into the trash. My parents went down to the restaurant, and my father climbed into the dumpster, searching the pasta, the pizza, the thrown out eggplant and meatballs, and found the crown, just as he had left it, wrapped inside a paper napkin.

These shows are the BEST!! And yes, Hessians fought for the Brits. Chuck is right Mike. I live at the base of the Watchung Mountains in NJ where the infamous Washington Rock in Watchung is located. Washington and his men were able to see the Brits down below from this spot and see for miles. On a clear day, can see the NYC skyline from here. On 9/11, I took my girls to this spot and could see the twin towers smoke in the distance. A lot of history in my area of Washington, the Brits, the Hessians and more. Thanks for another great show today ❤❤
