"High school love ain't strong enough for a seven hour drive." I'm in my 30's but I still felt that.

Leaving for college in less than two weeks. I’ve had this song on repeat my entire senior year, lol. Hits really hard. Thanks for the reaction!

Mike Ryan is an awesome artist and puts on a very good show. Got the opportunity to see him at the Lone Star Jam this summer. Very cool show with a lot of great music. Please do Reckless Kelly. Preferably "Wicked Twisted Road"

I really like Mike Ryan. He's got several good songs. The Rewrite, New Hometown, Wasting No More Whiskey & Dancing All Around It are a few to start with.

I'd have to second a reaction to "The Rewrite" I don't know many other songs by him though

On the way to Calumet Air Force Radar Sight in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we saw a sign that said Last Place on Earth. By the time we found our destination we were sure that was the truth. On the way we saw may be 5 homes but every 10 miles or so there was a bar. We were very confused. When winter came we totally understood. There is nothing for hours and nothing to do. Sooooo in come the snow mobiles. It is so cold you cant really keep flying over the snow more than a couple hours racing around raising hell without something to warm you up inside and out. Snow mobile bar hopping. We were so happy the bars were there. Oh and great song !!!

If you’re looking for contemporary traditional country check out Josh Ward. I’m sure I’ve recommended him before but he’s one of my favorites so I won’t miss a chance to do it again.

Good solid song...nothing fancy on this one...just something for his buddies and him. I really liked his last album, a few of his songs hit number 1 on the Texas Music Charts. "Wasting No More Whiskey" was really good. I don't think Mr. Reed ever did this one as it was co-written by Mike Ryan after Jerry's passing. As far as music style, Mike is definitely Texas Country but prefers a contemporary sound with rockin' guitars. Heard he's doing well in Nashville now, penning songs for others and trying to get airplay for his own. Glad Karma or a mix-up worked in his favor and got him on this channel...he's a pro and will be around for awhile!

You're looking for contemporary, rocking, uptempo stuff? Hayes Carll should check most of those boxes. Even if you never heard of him, how can anyone turn down a title like "A Bad Liver and A Broken Heart"?: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHyuY4KvoLFsnsk Other faves are "I got a Gig" and "Beaumont".

I'm with you Don, I ether like them or I don't! This song reminded me, of all the good byes in my life time, most of them were pretty good, some were bitter sweet & a couple were bad! My recommendation for today is; John Fogerty/ Joy Of My Life, off his " Blue Moon Swamp ", Album, thanks😎🤗❤
