Why did you went all the way from right side of the house when the Garage was on the left side. Isnt it short way to burry the cable from the other side till the Garage?
@JimRuggEV2 жыл бұрын
The unusual challenge with this installation was the Garage immediately next to the House was not Mike's Garage, but the next door neighbours, and Mike's garage was the furthest from the House, so Mike does not own the land in-between the house and his garage, which does create legal complexities around digging up other people's land, so to avoid a lengthy approval process, the best option in this case was to run the cable around the property/garden which is owned by Mike, which does add cost in relation to additional cable and cable management required, but avoids an even more expensive option of digging up other people's property. I hope this helps.

Do not misinform. You've upgraded garage power supply. This not required if You have good duże cable in the garage already.

Can it be set to automatically unlock for preauthorized cars?
@replenishhev63052 жыл бұрын
As far as we are aware, it hasn't got this option. The unit has to be locked and unlocked manually on the Wallbox App. Thank you for your question.

Could you link to or describe the part that you're bringing the wire in/out of the building with? It looks like a great conduit option to bring the cable through the wall. Just don't know what that's called?
@replenishhev63052 жыл бұрын
The conduit option used for this installation was the D-Line EV Fixing packs, which includes the clip, screw and 1 x screw drill bit, see full range on the Replenishh website www.replenishh.com/Catalogue/brands?Id=d-line

Why did you choose to go to the right, around the front of the house, patio etc instead of going left and under the fence to the back garden? Looks a lot shorter....
@replenishhev63052 жыл бұрын
Good question, the house is semi-detached and the building / fence to the left is actually the neighbours property, therefore to keep the cable route within property boundaries, the only viable route was the long way round to the right of the house!

Great video! I'm having a Pulsar Plus installed too, so very useful. Just wondering why the power cable was installed into the bottom of the unit, instead of straight through the wall and into the back of the unit?
@replenishhev63052 жыл бұрын
Hello Gary, glad that you enjoyed the video and happy to hear that you have found this to be useful. The Pulsar Plus has bottom and rear entry options, the back entry can be a tight bend to get the connections into the terminals and was on this job so on this occasion it was an easier install from the bottom of the unit. This would be something to discuss with your installer when on the job to see if it is possible for them to install via the back of the unit, will be job dependant. Enjoy the Pulsar Plus when you get it installed!

Wallbox have software problems and I regret buying mine. My new Wallbox Pulsar Plus 40-amp charger was installed by a Qmeret certified electrician and due to bad software, it took numerous calls over almost two weeks to just charge my EV. Still some features don’t work. At the prices Wallbox charges you should not be beta testing their products. If it wasn’t a hardwired installation I would return the charger.

Was that NYY or SWA cable installed to feed garage ?
@replenishhev63052 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, thank you for your comment. Due to the length of the install the installer opted to use a H07RN cable, as it gave them added flexibility when it came to feeding the cable around the house. We would normally suggest SWA, NYY-J or EV ultra but this is up to each installers discretion.

Hello John, have you contacted your installer who originally completed the installation to identify the issue? If yes, what have they advised?

@@JimRuggEV they advised to turn it off and then back on. I tried that once and it didn’t work. I did it again just now and it seems to have done the trick. Thanks for asking 👍🏻

Doesn't having such a long cabel increase the charging drop off (eg inefficiency) or does that only come from a long cable from the wallbox?
@replenishhev6305 Жыл бұрын
Hello Colin, you are correct there are voltage drops to factor in based on the cable size and length of run that impact the power feeding the charger. This is for the engineer to calculate and size the cable accordingly to minimise the impact of voltage lose. In this scenario, there was no option but to take the long route so it is a case of working with the challenges with each installation and making sure the products selected are correct and the customer is fully aware of impacts on performance if relevant. In terms of the tethered Charging cable supplied with the wallbox Pulsar Plus, this is designed and sized to maximise performance with minimal voltage drop.
