In this video I fiberglass the wing center section, cover the wing and create the aluminum landing gear.

I have a Hog Bipe in progress, that I set aside to get some other projects done. I read about moving the LG forward 1/2 inch in a build thread online, but I didn't do it. Hearing you mention it makes me want to revisit that. The stock plywood plate is epoxied in place, and the underside light ply is glued in as well, so I guess I'll be breaking out the saws, lol! It's probably worth it.

@@SomeGuyInSandy yeah it is. I had to do the same to my first one. I made the bottom into a hatch after pulling it apart. I just lined the whole area with 1/4 inch spruce and made a new plate of ply. Using screws to secure it. You do need to remove some of the doublers to move it ahead so the landing gear plate keys back together. It does help it not nose over on every landing. I have a set of wings in need of a fuse. I will probably scratch build a fuse for them. They are a lot of fun to fly!

@@thercbarn5001 Have you flown one with a .60 two stroke? How did it do?
@thercbarn50012 ай бұрын
@SomeGuyInSandy yes I did. My first one had a irvine 60. It flew it just fine. Another with a st 61 and a 90. They did fine also. The 90 was just to break the engine in. Wasn't any faster just took off faster and a lot less flight time then the 61.
