The name "Lost" is so ironic. The song itself was lost in the archives, hidden away in a folder for 20 years, that's literally insane.

Yeah, that basically says there alot more out there that's actually finished but never heard. Wouldve changed things if it made it to the album. We already heard some new stuff last anniversary as well. Heard more chester voice from his 1st band mates that release the other year. Then Mike said new music from linkin park in the future

I can still remember sitting on my sofa watching MTV’s TRL after school as a 10 year old. Carson Daly says “here’s the brand new video for One Step Closer by Linkin Park” and all of a sudden you hear the guitar intro, and there’s Chester and Mike with the spiked colored hair. The rest was history, forever a fan. R.I.P. Chester Bennington

Linkin Park was my favorite band since I was about 9 years old. I'm 27 now and as long as Mike Shinoda is doing his thing then in my heart Linkin Park is still alive. Many people think of Chester when they think of the band but Mike was such a huge part of the band for me that they are essentially synonymous and as long as he is alive and well and creating new stuff I will always have that spirit of Linkin Park burning inside of me even though things have changed. Thank you Mike for doing your thing and keeping the essence of Linkin Park alive and well. It means more than you could ever know.

I was overseas after 9/11 when I was introduced to LP and had no idea how much they were into social justice and against the Iraq War. POTUS 43's actions harmed both myself and many others, and his "When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die" means so much because it's so accurate. "Kenji" (I realize it's Fort Minor) lays open real wounds due to our horrible actions against Japanese Americans during WW2. "Prisoners of war in their own damn country, what for?" Shinoda's bravery and catharsis with "Post Traumatic" helped me as well. I subscribe to "never meet your heroes"and will purposefully never meet Mike, but damn that dude truly means so much to so many people.

I think it's kinda cringe when musicians are anti-war but pro-Obama and anti-Trump. Obama started 5 new wars that everyone ignores (look it up). Trump started ZERO new wars. the amount of troops overseas drastically started to dwindle. I can prove all of this. Hate to say it, but the reason we should never meet our idols is because Hollywood is full of people who are very skilled at faking a personality. Being anti-war is a very easy stance to take. It's not brave. You're brave. You went to fight. He wrote some lyrics.

@@Jkmontgo195he’s probably my laughing at how Chester explains it. For years he wrote lyrics for Chester (before Chester began writing too) because he knew he related to them. Together they helped Chester vent out his feelings on stage for nearly 20 years. They were best friends. They probably had much more in depth and emotional conversations behind the scenes, and guess what? Those are none of our business. It’s wild to imply Mike didn’t take Chester’s mental health seriously when the entire band had to confront his drug addiction during Meteora.

A lot of people who say this stuff just aren't listening to a lot of music. Obviously, there are foreign bands KPop, KRap, Krock, Jpop, Jrock, Jrap, etc are all full of really impressive artists. But in terms of English speaking artists, there are quite a few good bands, some of them are mainstream names, but the problem is that people tend to just listen to what they already know. In all fairness, I enjoy a very wide variety of music outside of modern pop (can't stand modern pop). But there's plenty to listen to out there.

When the M&G ended he said: "I kind of don't know what to do with myself now, because usually there are five other guys with me." and he asked if he could hang out with us for a bit, because he was really nervous before the show. It says a lot about what a humble and genuine person he is, despite being an insanely talented musician, producer and visual artist. Every time I've met him he's been so sweet, funny and attentive! I have infinite amounts of respect for this man! Edit: Also, I really enjoyed the whole thing they did with the website and countdown! I almost felt like a 13-year-old again! He really is! I had the pleasure of discovering his Twitch over the pandemic and when he was streaming regularly and watching him produce songs was so fun and fascinating to see. It also gave me a whole different glimpse into Mike as a person, as someone who wasn't an LPU member back in the day I think I never got to see those intimacies before. He's just such a cool dude.

Linkin Park is just one of those bands. Mike and Chester specifically were just so relatable and likeable. I think every fan wanted to get to meet them and be their friends. They are/were genuinely good people. I know when I've struggled in my life.. Watching interviews, listening to the music, and thinking about the lyrics sort of acted as like an anchor. I can't say that about any other band.

I am not familar with the people from the radio station but they seem extremely genuine, more so than most I have seen before. I always love mikes interviews. Linkin park was my first favorite band that a friend showed me when I was 10. Meteora wasnt my first CD but it was the first one I picked out and bought myself (My mom used to buy me CDs from songs she knew I liked on the radio) and I got Hybrid theory probably like a week or two later. Linkin park is my favorite band of all time and it was my gateway into my lifelong music taste. The lyrical content of linkin park doesnt get enough credit IMO. truly a special band.

I am originally from houston and I truly believe we have the WORST radio stations in the country lol. Horrible host and horrible rotations of songs. Every time I would travel I would think "oh my god this is what other areas get to listen to?!" - these guys seem great.

Also, mike talking about how faint was his favorite song on the record and THAT was the song that got me into the band. I liked In The End when it came on the radio but that was the only song I knew. When I was 10 I was at a friends house one weekend and his older brother had faint as a ringtone but it wasnt the real song, it was just like a electronic instrumental ringtone version and I was like "whoa what song is that" and they showed me the real song and the rest is history. That moment is why I like metal and punk so much at 28. Faint is also my favorite song on the record if not my favorite LP song just because of the sentimental value it holds.

I was about to turn 12 when Meteora came out and at age 13 I used to borrow a Meteora cd from a classmate. I listened to it from start to finish over and over again, and especially adored Faint, I even remember turning the volume down every time the screaming part came on, because my mom though it was too heavy for a girl my age, plus I am from Eastern Europe so my mom didn’t understand the lyrics. The lyrics motivated me to study harder, to learn English faster. Linkin park was the only band that I had posters of in my room, and I will never get over the fact that I didn’t get to see them live. Their music has touched so many hearts, healed so many wounds. I literally cry every time I hear Lost cause it just sends me mentally back to my young adolescence and the feeling of nostalgia is so bittersweet.

M'dad was 17 when HT came out. First album he ever bought. And Meteora came out literally about two weeks later and my mum picked one up at launch and myself now being 19, I've inherited both of their music collections and I've got to say Meteora and Hybrid Theory have got to be like my favourite two albums out of the stack of audio cds I have. LP picked me up when I was at my lowest along with Post Traumatic. These guys have had such an impact on my family and I'm honestly forever thankful for it

I've got a load of cds kicking about and I hope they have a good listen through them like you seem to have done. Power to you and your parents for being awesome.
