If anyone feels confused about the lyrics here's an explanation Zwierz posted online. Makes perfect sense to me and gives the song even wider perspective. "Obviously many Linkin Park fans assume that Over Again is a song about Chester and his death. In my opinion it's not REALLY about that. To me the song is about how hard it is to accept the fact that the person you love is not in your life anymore and how much you struggle to let it go and start living again. And knowing how raw, honest and personal Post Traumatic is, I kinda wanted to respect that approach in my remix. That's why I decided to write my own verse instead of just making a new instrumental. I didn't want to rap about Chester though as I think it would probably sound cheap and not very "real" compared to the verse by Chester's best friend. Instead I wanted to kinda "develop" song's main topic by giving it an additional perspective, based on my own experience. "

If thats not about Chester, then I don't know what it is about? Maybe he is singing about a duck he saw another day? Or maybe about Aliens. Of course the song talks about loss in general, but MANY parts of this lyrics shows that not only Mike is talking about death in general, but specifically about Chester, and about what happened to them when Chester died, and about the concert they did for Chester.

LinkinMessiah Well, the whole song is about chester and also about loss and death. So making a full verse about death in general makes this song be less about chester and more about overall death, which in my opinion takes away the main reason of this song. I think is sad and beautifull that this song is about chester. In this remix is more about death in general, which in my opinion makes the song less magical and more common.
