Mike Tramp on the English translation: "I was attempting multiple times to translate my Danish Biography “Vagabonden” written by Lars Daneskov, but every time had to throw in the towel and just realize that the Danish language, grammar and words used, could not be translated just like that. You'd have to rewrite the whole book. I am facing the same dilemma here trying to make English subtitles to a Danish song. Therefore keep in mind this is really just for your enjoyment and not a lyrical masterpiece."
Mike on the song: "'The One We Want To Be' may be too long for radio, but good stories take time and rarely fit the length of a Grand Prix song. This is the story of my life and here it is with pictures. This is exactly what it was like to be a child in Denmark back then, TV was in black and white, and we alternately dreamed of being McCloud, Bruce Lee, George Best, Noddy Holder, Columbo or Kim Larsen. It is a time that I myself remember with great joy and lots of nostalgia. Take it on a journey. - Tramp"
