Mike Trout is the best player in the game today, and it's not even close. Out of his 5 full seasons, he has had 8+ WAR in all but one of them, where he posted a 7.9. He even manged to improve his arm strength and accuracy, which for 2 seasons was his only weakness. When the greatest player out there is still willing to work on his game and trying to improve, you have something more than just the best player in the league. You have one of the greatest to ever play the game.

This dude is without a doubt the best player of all time. He needs to get on a good team fast and win some championships or people are just going to keep ignoring him. There isn't a single year that he shouldn't have won MVP and he would have 5 right now if he played on a team that could make the postseason. If he just becomes a stat freak his entire career the sad thing is nobody will ever recognize him as the greatest or even in the elites. In order to be considered great in sports you need to win. To have a fanbase you need to win. When he becomes a free agent I hope he realizes this.

If the Angels are smart, they trade Kole Calhoun, or C.J. Cron - their best trade pieces. Trout isn't going anywhere. Anaheim's best shot is to sign big free agents and then trade them away @ the deadline. Anaheim is a wonderful place to play, one of my favorite stadiums in the league. Very underrated. I feel sorry for Trout, he should be in the postseason EVERY SINGLE year. There's no hitter currently in baseball I respect more than Trout. It's not easy to be the best at such a young age and stay humble from your callup till this day. Hall of Famer already.

A good strategy for the Halos would be this offseason to sign a big bat (rumors as of late Nov. 2016 state that they're in talks with Brandon Phillips and Chase Utley, either or neither of them could end up being the case). And Move Trout and Pujols form 3rd and 4th respectively in the lineup to 4th and 5th respectively and put this other big bat third in the lineup. The Angels are off to a good start getting leadoff hitting in Camerin Maybin (which is good because Yunel Escobar has been a disaster of a leadoff hitter), so they need to get good bats around Trout, and Trade these big offseason signings at the deadline, Like Mr. MVPFLF mentioned. AND FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, DRAFT RESPONSIBLY if they're ever going to clean up the massive shit that Jerry DiPoto took on their farm system. As a Halos fan, Mike Scioscia is the manager I've known almost my whole life, but he refuses to progress as the game does, so in that department, it may be time for a change of cast, but I'm not holding my breath for Arte Moreno to do anything about that

I've watched baseball since the 90's and I never thought I would say this, but Trout is the closest "protege" of Ken Griffey Jr on the Mariners. He's only getting better and he's only 25 I think. Both Ken and Trout dominate at the plate and on defense and their stats are amazing. I think Trout has already 2 MVPS which is insane

I don't think that Trout and Pujols should bat consecutively in the lineup. Spread them out and Trout can steal more bases. Also, although I like Scocia, he's not aggressive enough. Other teams' hitters dig in and swing for the fences because they know that Scocia will never call for an Angel pitcher to get up in their kitchen, even if an Angel hitter was plunked earlier in the game.
