In all fairness Mike never said this stare down was for a weigh-in. Back in the 80s weigh-ins weren't as popular as they are today. So I believe this was about the night of the fight. Bc every fighter says they have butterflies b4 a fight. Mike I always said the closer he got to the ring, the closer he got to the fight that goes away for him. Then he begins his stare down inside the ring. So I believe on Fight Night, is when the true stare down will begin, once they're inside the ring.
