I really respect Teddy for finally keeping it real about Mike. Mike has changed his life and his relationship with THE WORLD as far as how he's views (which is one of the hardest things). On to of that he very publicly and humbly approached Teddy and apologized to him face to face. Even though it was Teddy who pulled a gun in a 13 year old.

There’s a few what ifs attached to this fight. Let’s say it goes deep. The blows that Tyson could inflict in a few rounds could cause some very serious brain injury to his opponent. This fight could go very badly wrong and quicker than you can imagine. Imagine the repercussions if the worst came to pass? Any boxer going into the ring knows the risks we’ve seen it happen in the past to really talented boxers who knew what they were doing.

The only thing he did not address is that despite Jake's Paul limited boxing experience, he still has a decent jab, decent speed and a devastating right cross. Hope no one gets hurt if either one of them go at full force.

I remember every single Tyson fight, like most people we would all chip in and get the ppv and have a house party and no one wanted the fight to last longer than a round because everyone wanted to see that famous Tyson knockout which he always delivered.Without Cus and Teddy Atlas Mike would not have developed into the greatest boxer of all time.Yes im an old man and have watch them all.In Mikes era there were tons of 1st class boxers top tier and Mike mowed thru them all.Boxers threw punches Mike threw cannons with both hands.When he hit Franz Botha it was said you could hear it outside of the arena.When Tyson delivered a knockout usually 3 doctors rushed the ring,his power was devastating sometimes it took longer for Mikes opponent to come back to life than the fight lasted.The greatest ever Iron Mike Tyson !

Everyone thought he was relentless and could not be stopped just like Usyk. Along came Foreman stretched out his arms to keep him away parry and push and then just off loaded bombs from a distance. Foreman made it look easy, so could Fury or AJ, if they just stop trying to box him.

@@James-qo8hd Teddy's lingering resentment toward Mike Tyson, fueled by Cus' apparent favoritism and exacerbated by personal grievances, remains palpable in his interviews. While sympathizing with Teddy's perspective, it's really fucking obvious that he hasn't fully come to terms with the extent of these influences on his demeanor. Despite presenting himself as wise and humble, Teddy comes across as very egotistical at times. He kind of presents himself as the perpetual victim.

@michaelscott466 I’ll agree with you that there are personal resentments teddy has towards Mike. But also character flaws that teddy points out about Mike. Can you blame him? Mike is open and honest about who he was but he also does it in a way where he too plays the victim to his circumstances. Does teddy play victim? Maybe, I didn’t necessarily see it that way but maybe. A lot of times I think he’s giving an honest opinion on who he thinks Tyson is and his character
@michaelscott466
@michaelscott466 7 ай бұрын
@@James-qo8hd We're all just human, and I don't fault Teddy for feeling the way he does; I'm just pointing it out. Teddy likes to say that Mike fails every time he's truly tested, which is utterly ridiculous. He implies that Mike is unable to overcome real adversity, something he says all the time actually, and it's completely untrue. Mike's whole life was centered around overcoming adversity and rising to the occasion. Mike was terrified, like a wounded child, before every single fight, yet he stepped into the ring overcoming his fear and almost always dominated. Mike was a completely undisciplined wild child who somehow managed to buckle down and become more disciplined than most people ever accomplish. To imply that Mike Tyson cannot overcome adversity or fails to find a way to win when things get tough is just ridiculous and untrue. Mike didn't always succeed in this way, but he sure did the vast majority of the time. This has always been Teddy's biggest criticism of Mike, and it is unwarranted, stemming from bitterness and jealousy. I just don't think Teddy can admit this to himself.
@James-qo8hd
@James-qo8hd 7 ай бұрын
@michaelscott466 I see what you’re saying and since you did such a good job at making your point I would have to say to a degree…I kinda agree with you. But to play devils advocate I would have to say that Teddy is judging Mike strictly at the highest level. Mike was supposed to beat razor ruddick. He was supposed to beat Frank Bruno. This again is judging him at the HIGHEST level because that’s what he was. The real test was when someone wasn’t defeated by intimidation from the jump. When buster douglas, for his deceased mom, decided he wasn’t going to cave when Tyson hit him. Or another fighter in evander Holyfield, who was an immovable force, was not going to wilt to Tyson’s monster persona. Of course Tyson overcame. And of course to all of us regular people and especially someone from the gutter Tyson overcame. But on the level of the holyfields, the Lenox Lewis’s, the Ali’s…the greats! When the moment of greatness presented itself and he had to tear it from another warrior who was not going to back down, he came up short. Maybe it’s a narrow way to look at it. Maybe, in the eyes of the everyday person, it seems unjust. But on the level of boxing legends, how could you not look at it like that?

Mike is like a child sometimes. Kid Dynamite his psyche: 1. His head almost explodes with joy. An opponent who scares him and gives him a big fight. He immediately runs to the gym and is only satisfied when he trains more than his opponent. 2. Mike gets to know that everyone is making fun of his opponent and at his expense. Trash talk is in full swing. He wonders why his opponent still trains less than him. 3. Savage Mode He tells the opponent what bothers him and what he will do if he doesn't give him a big fight. If he doesn't laugh, it will be very dangerous. 4. Tyson Mode The bell rings and Tyson can hardly remember what was agreed. Bamm, Bamm first impacts. Plan B is immediately taken and now it will be shown who has trained better and can hit harder. Which, still so predictably, poor coverage: bamm, bamm Two hard hits and Mike realizes he's no match for me, but it's really fun to see him cry Bamm, Bamm With the gloves it will take time, Mike thinks, but we still have 7 rounds of fun ahead of us Bamm, Bamm Great, I get money for beating up xxx :-)

Message to Jake Paul.. run around the ring, avoiding all Mikes punches, then towards the end of round one, go down and pretend you’ve sprained your ankle….. that way you’ll climb out of the ring richer and without brain damage….
