Canelo is about making history and his legacy, correct? Money is not the most important factor for Canelo now... If you think about this carefully, Canelo has already unified the 147lbs, the 154lbs, the 160lbs, and the 168lbs divisions... Now, no other boxer has done that... Canelo has fought 19 champions and took their titles... Canelo is about to become undisputed in the 168lbs and has only 1 belt in the 175lbs... That my friend is on badass resume that can't be matched... Now, let me start with Caleb Plant... How many champions has he fought? 1 and only 1... That was Jose Uzcategui for the IBF belt... Canelo has 3 belts in the 168lbs... Same as he did at 154lbs and 160lbs... The only reason why Caleb landed this fight is because he has/had the IBF belt... If Caleb Plant didn't have that belt, this fight wouldn't happen in a million years... Now, this is the boxing era of unifications and undisputed... And, Benavidez for one doesn't even have 1 belt... Talking about Benavidez, if he had not lost his belt, Canelo would have already fought him for the WBC,,, Then, Canelo announced over 2 years ago that he was going after all the 168lbs belts... At that very moment, Benavidez should have gone for a fight with Smith, Saunders or Plant... But did Benavidez do that?? NO, NO, NO... Now, he has another chance, Canelo has said multiple times he's going to the 175lbs to fight Beterbiev and Bivol... Canelo wants those belts after Caleb Plant and finishing the 168lbs... So Benavidez should move to the 175lbs and fight Beterbiev or Bivol and take their belts... Two things happen for Benavidez there... He starts making his own history and then he gets to fight Canelo at the 175lbs... Now, Charlo... Canelo made the offers to fight Charlo way back in the day... The offer was declined... Whether it was Charlo, promoters, trainers, it really doesn't matter.. It didn't happen so Canelo moved on... Charlo could move to the 175lbs and try to do the same as what I said about Benavidez and he will get to fight Canelo... Otherwise, Canelo will fight these boxers when he doesn't have anything that can make him history and/or legacy any more... So think about it, if Canelo goes down in weight to fight Charlo, does he make history?? NO, NO, NO... Not at all... Canelo will have conquered all the 169lbs belts in 2 days... If he fight Benavidez at 168lbs does Canelo make any history?? NO, NO, NO... Not at all... So where does Canelo have left to make history?? At the 175lbs division... Canelo only has 1 belt there... So there he can fight for the other 3 belts and make the most incredible history any boxer has made in all of boxing history... Now, I suspect you're a smart man, where is it convenient for Canelo to go and fight after destroying Caleb Plant??? Beterbiev and Bivol or Benavidez and Charlo... It's a no brainer... Canelo will go fight Beterbiev and Bivol... Maybe Zurdo... After Canelo becomes undisputed in the 175lbs, you can start talking about other ireelevant boxers... Comprendes brother??? Cheers brate!!
