Like where Canelo was talking him up - it seems like _that_ would be more beneficial in boxing - instead of where sometimes, they'll put their opponent down and say they're not a challenge and everything. Seems like you'd want the world to think your opponent is like the best and then when you beat them, you're even better... And it is sad to see a story like this - where he's cut down just before he gets to the top and then can never get back to that level. I guess that happens to a lot of people in sports and even other careers. I guess the consolation prize is, that's a lot further than the rest of us could ever dream of making it in anything...

I find the way Canelo carries himself to be the epitome of confidence. He doesn't go hard into initiating trash talk but doesn't bend one bit when engaged. Being a red headed Mexican will probably help one in becoming so tough I'd imagine.

Prime Mayweather was a beast. Very fast, superior defence and moves around a lot. Mayweather also have fought the likes of Canelo's style and his defence just dominated the competition. Also, he barely shown fatigue due to his extreme athleticism. I like Canelo but in the same weight, Mayweather wins UD.

Floyd the TBE of cherrypicking though, he beat an old Pacquiao with a rotator cuff injury, an old De La Hoya, an old and slow Miguel Cotto, an old Shane Mosley and a young Canelo. He was always being given injections for his hands before fights despite it being against regulations. He beat a complete novice in Conor Mcgregor for his 50th win. His 50-0 isn't legit when he continually ducked fighters till they were past their prime or fought them before they even entered their prime. To top it off he only ever fought in Las Vegas, he had all the judges and refs in his pocket. His opponent would need the KO to win.

Best decision canelo made was to seperate from cross-dresser boy promotions
@grpere13 жыл бұрын
That decision has nothing to do with his performances. It is his trainers and his team in his camp that help produce an outcome. The promotional compay deals with the financials and while issues with the promotion may have an effect on a fighter, that usually happens with mentally weak fighters and Canelo isn't mentally weak. Since a young fighter, he has always been one of the most composed fighters in boxing. Rarely do you see a fighter with his mindset at such a young age. Also, De La Hoya may have his personal issues, but you can't deny his accomplishments in the ring. He fought all prime opponents and had a stellar record in his prime. I would argue that most fighters listed above him in history wouldn't have been so legendary if they fought the level of opposition he did throughout his career.
