When you fight Piston Honda for the second time, you will notice a guy in the crowd giving a cue to throw the knock out punch to the gut at the 2:00 minute mark in the round. If you go to 11:10 mark in this video, you will see in the front row towards the leftish side of the ring, a bearded guy nodding his head like he's giving you the ok to throw the knock out punch. Check it out it's really interesting!!! :)

Mike, I noticed something interesting about all these contenders Little Mac fought in this game. The game characters are different from the arcade version. You fight Bald Bull much earlier than on the NES version. Glass Joe has a much harder, faster version of himself called Kid Quick. Piston Honda in the arcade game wasn't Japanese but instead he was a Cuban immigrant called Piston Hurricane. Before Don Flamenco the arcade progenitor was an Italian named Pizza Pasta. But later in the arcade game there was another fighter like Piston Honda from Hong Kong, Dragon Chan. Soda Poppinski was originally known as "Vodka Drunkenski!" Mr. Sandman was the toughest fighter in this entire arcade game package.

A new secret was discovered only within the last year. It regards the Piston Honda fight on the WC. At that 2-minute mark you brought up for delivering the KO blow, the guy in the audience with the beard (located left-of center screen) signals you to punch. Watch him again at the 11:10 mark right before you knock Honda out.

This is actually really cool, because most people (myself included) hardly ever play through the ENTIRE game, start-to-finish anymore. I've only sat and done it maybe once or twice at most, so I salute you, Mike. You should give a playthrough to KickMaster. It's one of those hidden gems of the NES, I've always enjoyed the hell out of it. Not the hardest game in the world, but definitely fun. Kind of - if you enjoyed Holy Diver, you'll enjoy KickMaster. (Again, though - it's definitely easier than Holy Diver.) Edit: Also, I think he (Don Flamenco) looks like Dean Martin.
