Mike Wallace on his interview with the Ayatollah Khomeini

We wanted to honor the life and career of journalist Myron "Mike" Wallace (1918-2012).
We cut together two tapes in our archive featuring Wallace telling the story of one of the defining moments of his career: his interview with the Ayatollah Khomeini during the Iran hostage crisis.
One of the tapes is a 1985 program by camcorder pioneer and video artist Skip Blumberg called "Interviews with Interviewers... About Interviewing" (also featuring interviews with Susan Stamberg, Studs Terkel, and Barbara Walters).
The other is a live event from 2000 where Wallace and Terkel spoke on "The Art of the Journalistic Interview."

About beheading a journalist, also Mr. Hoveida, the former prime minister, had thought that he hsn’t done anything wrong so that he showed himself up and got shot in the coridors of the court by his relevant justices.
