“ Politics and diplomacy are the sublimation of lying “… what a perfectly intelligent sentence enclosing a profund truth. She was a wonderful journalist and a wonderful person. A real fighter, stronger then most men - in any case stronger than most men she met. What a pity that this exceptional person left our world.

Oriana Fallaci is one of my heroes. Her interviews with world leaders are incredibly revealing, I loved especially when she interviewed Khomeini and threw the chador at his feet. She was so brave and her book on her Vietnam year is incredibly revealing about the war. RIP.

google "Pierre Péan" for an actual answer. Fallaci was a journalist for a few years, then wrote op-eds and commentary. There are tons of journalists who did more for humanity.

For anyone in this thread viewing on a desktop or laptop, if you use Chrome as your browser there is an extension called "Volume Master" that enables you to increase the volume of any tab by as much as 600%, it's shown itself to be incredibly useful to me on quieter clips like these.

It would be a simple matter of mastering these videos properly. Sometimes however, if the video is very loud, KZbin itself will turn them down.

Oriana Fallaci I read this lady's book some years ago; fascinating journalist, brilliant book. Sometimes, her interview with political leaders seemed like they went well and they may take on board some of the things talked about. But afterwards they would do the opposite.

Wonderful seeing a legend of my own journalistic high noon. She 'kayoed' 'Ayatollah' Khomeini by taking off the obligatory 'chador' in his presence! Today's Christiane Amanpour frankly doesn't hold a candle to her.
