“Born without a heart” is about being dead inside. She does like writing dark and dramatic songs, though she says she’s a happy person. And her online and onstage personality is bouncy, goofball. Quite at odds with how emo many of her songs are.
@fawnie55393 жыл бұрын
that's the most beautiful part, how she expresses everything deep inside in her music
@johnbryant33933 жыл бұрын
She's said most of her songs are about other people's experiences.
@zakariastaout46853 жыл бұрын
@@johnbryant3393 that's pretty much what I tell people when they ask me about what I write , believe me , no-one can write such relatable and deep lyrics based on other people experiences alone , i would say , other people experiences have such small impact compared to one's own

I listened to the song again and again and read the lyrics and ... oh my god. What you said about the masks is so true, Ginger. Aside from the fact that many don't even want to know who we really are, we often put the mask on ourselves to be less vulnerable. That's something that I've experienced. And it doesn't even work well. And not being able to be me made me sick and I'm still recovering. I'm working on me, the most valuable project. :) Closing with a quote from another song lyric. "I'm not scared to be seen, I make no apologies. This is me."("This is me" from The Greatest Showman sung by Keala Settle - this song keeps coming back to me ;) )

Great reaction - I think your next two "Stripped" songs should be "Bad Dreams" and "How It All Works Out". They are both similar to this one: Faouzia at a piano making your jaw drop.

I want to thank you for doing what you do. You have introduced me to some great artists and some great songs. This song hits hard for me on a personal level. The songs you have introduced me to have helped me through the very tough times i have recently had. I recently found your reaction to James Blunt Monsters a few hours before my dad committed suicide a couple of weeks ago. Music soothesmy soul during tough times. Keep doing what you do.

Love her voice and phrasing. My son has used her music in his contemporary dance choreography for the dynamics and drama. Not sure if Mike has heard the version of Sisters of Mercy’s Temple of Love featuring Ofra Haza? At 8 minutes its not a great reaction choice but it’s a great listen.
