2 days ago ABBA realesed a 3rd song from their upcoming album (Voyage) which will be released 5th of november. This 3rd song is called "Just A Notion" . Its actually an old song from the 70`s which hasnt been released before...improved and remixed to 2021 hit BUT of course with the very familiar ABBA sound :-)

This was only half of the song. It was performed as the first encore during their 1979 concert tour. And the audio was from that tour. They didn't have a reunion tour. The attended a one off gathering a couple of years ago, where Frida and Agnetha sang the very same song for the guys who went to the stage to join them afterwards. But they will release new material very soon for the first time in decades.

This was in January 2016 at Stockholms 'Mamma Mia - The Party' restrauant/show. It was apparently the ladies Idea they should all stand on stage. Later in June 2016 Agnetha & Frida appeared on stage at a private party (some film is on youtube) and performed 'The Way Old Friends Do' to mark their ex husbands 50 Years of friendship at a suprise party. Other friends and Swedish artists also performed different ABBA songs as well as track B&B have written and recorded since for their musicals Etc.It appears this was the catylst for the reunion in the studio in June 2017 when two new ABBA songs were created; 'I Still Have Faith In You' and 'Don't Shut Me Down'. These were recorded to help promote the planned ABBATAR stage showin which digitalised 'ABBA' will perform a show with live band and dancers etc. Due to technical difficulties and contractual issues the release was delayed and then the pandemic struck. What had happened during this time remains completely unknown although rumours have begun of more new ABBA songs, a complete album Etc. The official stance is that their are 2 new songs awaiting release and these go hand in hand with the ABBAtar project. Until were officially told anything different, I will wait and see. As all 4 ABBA members are now in their 70's, personally I don't see much else and both women usually avoid being in the public arena these days so I don't see much hope of seeing an awful lot of them. Time will tell.

"The way old friend do" was recordet on the ABBA tour 1979 and released on the Super Trouper album 1980. In June 2016 for the first time in more than 30 years they appered together on stage, and Frida & Agnetha sung this song. people went crazy. We still haven´t heard the new songs they recorded in 2018, but.....soon it shall be. i keep my fingers crossed.

My only hope for the upcoming concert in April/May next year is they do the last two songs as themselves now....First Encore... "The Way Old Friends Do" and Second Encore...."Thankyou for The Music" and somehow capture this as their old selves for future concerts so we have their older selves as well for posterity with all the spontaneity involved........that would work as a fitting finale I think......but how to try and let them know this??????.....if you like the idea????

Wow guys it's wonderful to see you both back again. Truly. Yes the song was a short version of an encore in Wembley stadium 1979, it's a tear jerker. Especially when the audience and the backing singers pitch in. This clip is a montage of reunion materials and the looking forward to the apparently 5 new songs that I do believe will be released at the end of September. COVID and many other factors have delayed the release. The haters will always hate, but secretly listen to ABBA in their own privacy. I admit I watch only two channels on here, for reactions. Yours and another guys. Here in Australia, I get updates from the channels way too late to reply right on time. But nevertheless you know my feelings towards you both..You guys are superstars. I have this weird relation to ABBA. I don't own any of their albums, I very rarely listen to them, but when I do I always tear up, end up listening to several songs, and conclude for myself that they truly are one of the greatest bands ever. And then they go back to oblivion somewhere in the back of my brain, until next time. I mostly like the not so famous songs, though.

Frida and Agneta actually did perform this song a couple of years ago, the first and only time they have sung together since 1982. You should react to that performance, it’s quite emotional. The quality of the video is not the best but this was not an official performance but at a birthday celebration I believe so we should be thankful that we got this clip at all. You picked some video compilation that has no beginning (verses) and just goes straight to chorus. Just try "The Way old friends do" - live version from Wembley 1979. It's proper version. They only have live version that was also released on their album (Super Trouper, I think).
