I use a coffee filter to “clean” my used varsol, and reuse it. I do the same with used paint thinner when cleaning rollers and brushes. Thanks for the tips on the filters.

Thank you I was scared to damaged my new outlander 700 Max xt foam filter using varsol but I’ll use it now. I have been using that same filter oil. My commercial dish soap didn’t cut through the oil and it’s still sticky and hard to dry. Might have to use it today but will go your way next time.

Don’t have to unscrew the dash it will unclip as 1 piece and can access the the cvt filter

you do not need to remove the gauges just pull up from other side and the whole cover pops up

I Believe Varsol is basically the same as Mineral Spirits, Turpentine, etc...

Varsol is paint thinner, but from what I've read, a cleaner more pure version of paint thinner. Not sure that matters in this case, so any paint thinner should be a good surrogate.
