4 Queens has no resort fee and I believe the Downtown Grand as well. The actual reason these hotels charge resort fees is because they have to pay a percentage of the room rate to the third-party booking platform such as Expedia. So if the room is listed as thirty bucks, Expedia only gets a percentage of that. The resort fee is collected and one hundred percent of that stays in house. Sooooooo, they politely ask their customers to bend the $%^ over and accept their dishonest fees. Not much better than car dealers with their dishonest fees.

The resort fees were originally put into place to cover costs for amenities. You know the indoor pool costs. The spa and gym equipment provided. Also to service bars at the patios need to be staffed. Reliable high speed internet for you laptops connection in their business center. Oh, and don't forget the guest information desk were you can get advice on concerts, tours and hotel escort services. Wow five dollars covers all that! Amazing.

this place back in the day when it was owned by best western it was call best western mardi gra, now it's just called mardi gra, during covid i stayed there for 2 weeks and they were housing displaced people and the cops where there all the time, but at one time it was a awesome place.

I stayed at the Paris Hotel in Vegas last month,pre payed for the room 2 months in advance, and when we checked in I was told there was a $50 per night resort fee. I was told that the city of Las Vegas enforced the charge.What a scam

I don't travel to Vegas all that much. Honestly, I have better fun in Reno. When I do go I always stay with friends who have a home in Henderson. I also have them pick me up at the airport and I rent a car off the airport property if I am going to be there for more than a day. The "fees" charged to travelers all over the US have gotten out of hand.

Wow. This looks like where I used to live. lol. I had a PO Box that shows up in records, but I forgot the address of this place...always meant to go back. I will always remember signing a lease (monthly) that warned me to not run a ...well, "business that has johns" out of my apartment. Never had that disclaimer on any other lease in my life, but that's the only one I signed in Vegas.

I like the entrance how it's on the outside and you can get in instead of having going inside a hotel to get to your room because I like to put My clothes in trash bags because I don't wanna get bed bugs and I wanna just throw away the bag when I get home instead of putting it in luggage where bugs can go in and dirt can go on it It work it works it's lightweight you know you throw it away when you get home the bag. I know it's weird This 1 time we we stayed at the Mirabella hotel solvang And you know how hard it was to To sneak in the trash bags without people seeing it cause it's embarrassing But we managed to do it

I don't think the the hotels/motels don't have control over the resort fees. You need to get yourself an RV, you can avoid the fees you complain about. Or start paying a little more for better quality. Like the ole saying goes "you get what you pay for" but, I think you enjoy finding the dumps so you can have something to complain about.
