I'm 72 years old retired disabled and have had a few very helpful housekeepers. If I'm able to share something I make sure it goes directly into the helpful person hands . Even something like letting me use cleaning products to clean my vehicles windows is very nice. I've witnessed some horrific working conditions for housekeeping staff especially in the south. I believe you treat people like you want to be treated in life. Personally I feel there's a serious lack of humanity disrespecting the past generations that fought and died for rights and freedoms.

Rule of Thumb, travelers: DO NOT USE THIRD-PARTIES TO BOOK HOTELS! You wont save as much as you think, they lie about cancelation fees, and its a headache for the clerk checking you in :) Dont blqame the hotel/motel if you didnt pay them - Third-Parties are scammers.
@cherylsmith4826 Жыл бұрын
My cuz book through 3rd party & we checked in & left for the evening. When we came back about 11:30 pm our bags were in the lobby & they had given our room to someone else. Said the hotel had booked the room & that trumped third party reservation. They were full so basically we got kicked out in the middle of the night.
@0davechris0 Жыл бұрын
@@cherylsmith4826thats shitty and I'm sorry that happened. People think its up to the hotel, but its between you and the third-party. I really advise against booking anything that way. Sounds like the third-party only booked you for X amount of nights without the hotel knowing. The relations between hotels and third-parties has notoriuous miscommunication in the industry and its like pulling teeth to get your refund from India.

Many years ago, when I was a wee lad, say 8 or 9 our family took a road trip to Las Vegas from SLC, Utah. We stayed at the Thunderbird Motel, I was too young to remember how the rooms were or much else about it but I will always remember the Thunderbird out front as can be seen in 0.25. Although I the bird being larger than that seen at 0.25. I don't remember much else. I do remember later getting into trouble when I had wandered into a casino room only to be rounded up by a security guard. I was brought to my parents who were told in no uncertain terms that children were not allowed into the casino area. Maybe I'll stop by here on my next trip to LV and see what it looks litke. Thanks

Hey, doll. Hotelier here (front desk/management) ... I noticed you've done a few hotel review type videos recently, so imma tell you... NEVER use that site! For the most part, never use any 3rd party sites. I could tell you so many stories!!! We only tolerate them for the advertisement. They let the consumer know whats available, but always call the hotel direct. And make sure it is the actual hotel before you lock anything down. A good receptionist will confirm all of your needs and answer your questions. Good luck in your travels. Keep up the nice work.

Especially the smaller motels .. I never make reservations unless its a huge Disney trip or big like that. In fact, we got better , really good rates. Staying about 5 minutes from Disney in Florida but we were in a huge CONDO COMPLEX. It was amazing. 6 people basically and 2 bedrooms plus pull out leather couches if needed which the kids wanted to use and only paid anout $100.oo a night for 8 days . It was AMAZING . had a campus like atmosphere, a couple bars on site, a HUGE pool w bar service on water , about 10 other pools on site with playgrounds attached to each pool area, a couple of specialty restaurants and bars plus a few arcade areas and a whole lot of other anementies on site plus each had huge sit down balconies , offering views on lake and pool areas ...swear to u , it was the best place we have ever stayed in my whole life . But we live in Michigan and often travel up north and never call ahead. We get way better deals going in and asking
