Love the bird kit, Mike. I love wildlife, birds and filigree. I think it might be nice to have foxes, birds, bears, etc. and filigree individual pieces for sale too; just a thought. Ian, lovely new creations and I really like the ones with the camera lens and the clock. I think they will sell wonderfully at the next show. Mike, I so admire the attention and time you spend with your Mum and Dad. I know they appreciate and love you so much. I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Nip; I hope is leg is doing and feeling better. I'm saying a Prayer for him and Mr. Bentley. Thank you for sharing your week with us.

What a week! I do hope that Nipps leg is getting better. And that your mom is starting to feel better. I feel like any of us could have accidentally done that with the gas. Very lucky it was only 200 and a few hours. Could have been worse for sure. Next week will be better! Sending hugs all around 🤗❤️

Oh yes, I remember rotary phones,and the trim phone afterwords. Bless Nippy, you guys have had a bit of a week,bless you. Looking forward to the rainy day projects. They will be wonderful. I remember the rotary dial ohones but pre STD when it also included letters. Looking up alphanumeric dials uk. The nine is last but one hole. The explanation for use of 999 is that its the easiest to use as it is next to last from the stop. Being at the end could be less likely to be dialed 3 times consecutively.

I remember the rotary dial phones and always thought it odd that 9 was the last number as it took so long to wind back. A rollercoaster week for you guys. Hope Nipper's leg is better soon, he did look very sad and sorry for himself. TFS xoxo

What a week I’m sure we can relate to Ian’s dilemma easy to do I always check our pumps here ask to confirm your choice helps Poor Mr Nip hope he’s recovered now easy to not realise. aww i hope nip is feeling rested and better x and your mum too x ive never heard of the mandela effect but i have used rotary phones but until you mentioned it i couldnt of said which way the numbers went .have a lovely weekend

Poor Nip hope his foot/leg is better soon. I was brought up using old rotary dial phones and was told the numbering was the way it was to help you dial in an emergency, presuming that most people were right handed it was designed that if you could not see the dial for some reason you could dial by placing your forefinger in the dial with your middle finger resting on the bar. The time to dial was a little longer but it was meant to be intentional and not accidental.

Oh, well - we all make mistakes. Don’t be too hard on yourselves. I hope Whitby weekend goes really well. I think Aussie phones always started with 1 as the first number. When I was growing up, we had a black Bakelite rotary phone. Yes, I’m that old! I hope Mum is feeling better now. I do hope Mum is feeling better now. xo

There's a crafting company that made a cute phone die that you could dial up sentiments on BUT evidently they had a recollection somewhat similar to yours. However, they didn't add the space on the dial and they didn't put the numbers in the proper arrangement, including not being counterclockwise and putting the one at the top of the dial. Why The Face? It was a cute die and love the interactive part BUT seriously, you've got to get the arrangement correct. I still have a rotary dial princess phone in the upstairs bedroom that has the letters underneath from when area codes were names, i.e., Juno/Diamond. It's a hardwired landline for emergencies as during the 1989 earthquake our landline was the only item in the house that worked...our ONLY communication with the outside world. Scary, that.

I was born in 1963 and all the rotary phones i remember started with 1 at the top and 9 last, and i remember me and my brother making prank calls to the fire service and getting frustrated that it took so long to dial 999!

‘I remember the dial phones but always the 1 as the first number. You've probably done this already, but I Googled this : 999’ was chosen as the emergency services number in the UK because the ‘9’ digit could be easily modified on coin-operated public payphones for free use. The 999 number was also ideal for accessibility, as the ‘9’ digit - which was one hole away from the finger stop on rotary dial telephones - could be easily found by the visually impaired or in the dark or in dense smoke. I was just going to say you might have been in New Zealand in a previous life and you said it yourself, but I suppose there could be a number of reasons for it, but whatever it is, it's very interesting 😊

Your right Mike, its best not to say a thing, about the gasoline. I have never heard about the Mandela effect. WHen its not out my dogs do not like to walk, the pavement is too hot and burns there paws.. Poor Nip.

The best/worst/funniest experience I had with a dial telephone was the morning after my wedding. My dad telephoned at 8.45 am asking "what are you doing?" I managed to collect my thoughts and said "I'm answering the telephone!" Sorry we'll miss your Indi Blu Go in August as Sue will be nowhere fit enough to attend. We've already cancelled the Asylum.

I remember the phones being the same as you. Also I live in NZ and our emergency number is 111 😂 so again is the furthest away and the longest to dial 😂 makes no sense

In the U.S. the number one was first number at the top on rotary phones. Hope Mister Nipper is okay.

Wow, I still have a rotary dial phone, so dug it out to see the numbers. Unfortunately it’s a later model that has the hash and star. We had one when I was a child but I can’t remember the configuration of the numbers so can’t be any help to you. I’d never heard of the mandala effect.

Regarding the Mandela Effect... maybe it's your logical brain taking over your 'memory' because your definition of why the nine (9) was 'closest to dial' makes total sense to me - common sense, that is - versus it taking the longest time. I remember the rotary dial phones (guess that gives away my age a bit) but honestly don't remember the location of the numbers. LOL. Thank you for sharing that with us, Mike.
