haha exactly what i do with my AP1. try going 2 or 3 A.M.. less traffic=more fun. being in the back woods of VA you get the full effect. not too far off the beaten path for endless highways but far off enough to go out for 4 hours and see maybe 2 cops. best investment ive ever made.

Canto Mike is it really that good? Thinking bout getting one but they're expensive. Is it really worth it?
@MikeDrives5 жыл бұрын
@@starbai410 Honda S2000s are still good sports cars because there's nothing like the S2k on the market today (serious sports car with X-bone frame, unique engine that can rev to the moon, reliable, timeless looks). Yeah I agree, the prices are starting to creep up and it's difficult to spend that kind of money on a car that's over a decade old. Last time I checked if you wanted a AP2 with low mileage, it's above 20k. Yes, there's the MX-5 and BRZ/86 cars but the Honda S2000 will most likely maintain it's value much better. Ultimately, if the Honda S2000 makes you happy and smile every time you drive it, then it's worth it.

I have a twin LBP S2000, I almost prefer driving it at night - or at least when the sun isn't beating down. Tends to be less traffic too.

Damn man this is my dream car. I'm really hoping i can get this car within the next few years, hey mike is this car expensive to maintain and insure?
@MikeDrives5 жыл бұрын
I don't have personal experience with owning a Honda S2000. The one in this video isn't mine unfortunately. I'll give you my personal thoughts and what I've gathered about the car over the years. I think that insurance will vary depending on your age, location, driving history. So if you're a young guy, then it may be on the higher spectrum. As far as expensive to maintain, that's going to depend on the condition of the car (mileage, how well previous owner cared for it). There are some owners who have had only to do routine maintenance (fluids, brake pads, tires) so maintenance shouldn't be that bad. Again, it may vary on what the owner does with their S2000, and I'm assuming if it's track the wear and tear will make you spend more. Also, you have to consider that the S2000 is getting up there in age and is over 20 years old, so parts may need to be replaced. I wish you the best of luck man. The Honda S2000 is such a fantastic machine. You could probably get better answers on the Honda S2000 forums. There's so much documentation on there that would make your head explode. When you get it, post a video about it because I want to check it out!

I found a 2007 S2000 at a dealership in formula red with 29,500 miles on the clock. They're asking maybe 5k over what it's worth, but I am seriously contemplating pulling the trigger.
@MikeDrives5 жыл бұрын
That's crazy low miles. I'm not surprised a dealership is asking that much over. I think the Honda S2000 will maintain it's value quite well granted if it wasn't abused and taken care of. As time passes, it will become harder to find decent condition Honda S2000s. And there will be less and less when the years go by. Ultimately, if you're in good financial standing, then go for it man! Also, check out the Honda S2000 forums for used S2ks. Good luck man!

That's a very low price for a S2000 with that mileage. It could be a savaged title one. Just proceed with caution.
