I’m bout to get frustrated with my flames. It seems I go blank everytime I start lol try to use reference pics but there’s so much goin on it’s hard for me to transfer it from reference to my panels, jus keep on keepin on and keep them comin bro thanks!!!!

Wonderful stuff Mike! Question... I’ve seen cleats used in between color coats in order to seal prior layers up a bit and control bleeding. Noticed you didn’t do it and your end product came out fine. What would be the reason to use a sealing coat vs not doing a sealing coat? Wondered if atmosphere affects the need or lack of? Maybe a quick explanation on that? Buying my Iwata HP CR this morning and am super stoked to get started. Will be doing RC bodies a lot and regular artwork as well and I love flames. Plan on doing my old Harley tins. Thanks for all your work man!

Mike how do you determine which part of the template you are going to use. For the past three weeks I have been trying to learn fire, and all I can say it has been a rough journey. I took your advice and started to use reference and build my visual library in an effort to get away from using reference. That same method has helped my drawing which is a way slower process than airbrushing in my opinion.

So you use the clear instead of the 4030? And once u mix the clear in then u don’t have to worry bout shelf life? I know with 4030 it’s like 36 hr. I’d much rather be able to premix the candys like that instead of having to mix every time.
@MikesBrush4 жыл бұрын
yea the 4050 doesnt have a shelf life as long as its in a airtight container. 4030 is the old stuff...
